  1. Interesting build.?
  2. I don’t remember what kit the wheels are from. They had solid backs and decals for brake rotors. I decided to open up the backs and add my resin cast brake rotors. I first had to add styrene stubs to the outer rims so I would have something to connect to the knuckles and differential. I may need to trim them slightly yet to get the track width right.? The original kit rims and brakes are at the top and the ones I am using are at the bottom. Thats it for now.?
  3. I got some black primer and SG clear on some of the interior parts, and got the door panels detailed. The dash needs a re-do and is in the pond right now.?
  4. Started this one a little while ago. It’s basically going to be a OOB build (I know I’ve said that before?) with just a wheel and tire change. I de-chromed most of the engine parts and repainted them flat aluminum. The package shelf needs a bit of trimming to fit properly, and a bit of shimming on the right side to get it level.
  5. Accident is something I don’t want happening in my shorts.?
  6. Super job on those headers Jim! I really like the looks of these old Novas.? Yours is coming along very nicely.?
  7. Looking really great so far!?
  8. Creative juices can really be stirred by reading some of the threads in the w.i.p. section.
  9. Awesome work all around!? The wheel rims look perfect. What brand of scriber is the blue one?
  10. Something like this? Another article on Corvette hub caps: https://www.motortrend.com/vehicle-genres/chevrolet-corvette-wheels-1953-1996-design-history/
  11. I fill the crevasse with 1/2 round evergreen and Tamiya extra thin cement. I press it in place to eliminate any air entrapment and when dry, a bit of filler to camouflage it. Then block sand the outside and prime it. If anything shows…more sanding and primer.
  12. Stretch that sprue if you need some really small diameter styrene.
  13. Nice start!? I’m not a fan of those wheels, but they do have the correct 5 lugs for a 2wd version.
  14. These are the PO2 wheel covers.
  15. I don’t know much about Corvettes, but this is what I found. It says the PO2 wheel covers are deleted. They were an option on regular Corvettes however, not standard. I believe the ZR1’s came with trim rings and center caps only…no PO2 option available. I think AMT is mistaken.? “In addition to the LT1 engine, Corvettes ordered with RPO ZR1 came equipped with the M22 “Rockcrusher” transmission, heavy-duty power brakes with dual-pin front brake calipers (J56), a transistor ignition, a special aluminum radiator and a heavier-duty suspension package that included bolstered 7-leaf rear springs, shocks and heavy-duty 5/8 inch front sway bars and rear spindle struts/stabilizer bars. The car also came equipped with metal fan shrouds. Moreover, when ordering a ZR1, the following options were deleted from the Corvette, including: a rear window defroster (C50), air-conditioning (C60), power steering (N40), deluxe wheel covers (P02), the alarm system (UA6), AM/FM radio (U69) and AM/FM Radio, stereo (U79).” https://www.corvsport.com/1970-1972-corvette-zr1/#google_vignette
  16. Town and Country wagon is a great vehicle for extended vacations.
  17. Wow, that thing is sure detailed! Good plan with the pins everywhere. I haven’t opened the box on mine yet…I think I’m scared to.?
