  1. Beautifully done Mathias!? I have one of these that I have to work up the courage to start. Yours is definitely an inspiration.?
  2. I will sometimes prime small parts on the tree (and yes, I am still an amateur?) after removing the most obvious and accessible mold lines. The primer helps me to see the faintest mold lines which I will tend to after separating the parts from the tree…then another coat of primer.
  3. Very nice Steven! I like the piping…pretty fine work.? I managed to make a slightly more accurate set for the Bronco.
  4. I previously made these similarly on my ‘65 Chevy. The pin is not removable, but the visor will adjust…at least until the tape dries up.?
  5. Some kits have inadequate or no sunvisors, like this Revell Bronco. They should be attached to the windshield frame and not the removable hardtop.? So,I made some with masking tape and styrene. I am using .020” music wire and .020” styrene sheet. I put a narrow strip of paper across the sticky side of the tape, so the pin won’t be stuck, laid the wire and styrene down and wrapped the tape around it. A little trimming and shaping later.? The pin can be removed and replaced and the visor position adjusted. I coated the edges with some thin CA before paint in hopes that the tape will never let loose.
  6. Fantastic detailing you are doing here JC!? I won’t be nearly as meticulous as you when I get around to building mine, but I will definitely be referencing this thread for all sorts of tips. Thanks!
  7. The fender looked a literal bare and rough after I hacked off the module…so I fabbed up an overflow tank from Evergreen.
  8. That is really looking great Dennis!? I can’t wait to see it in person one day.?
  9. That compressor has a 1/8” male British Standard Pipe thread connection. You may need an adapter to your airhose. I would recommend you also upgrade your airbrush. There are plenty of opinions on here about what is a good airbrush. That said, I would recommend the Paasche H. It is a single stage workhorse that is simple to use and very easy to keep clean. It can be used with a paint cup or bottles. Paasche has fittings to connect to that compressor. https://www.paascheairbrush.com/airbrush/airbrush-sprayer-accessories/adapters?page=1
  10. Those are all beautifully crafted!? I thoroughly enjoyed the build threads too. Thanks for doing them! Greg.
  11. Nice!? There is just no end to what can be done with a Jeep!?
  12. I think this is only the Metal Colors? https://forum.largescaleplanes.com/index.php?/topic/73712-my-personal-tests-with-vallejo-metal-air-paint/
  13. I suggest you do a spoon test with the Metal Color as soon as you get it and see for yourself. Some pics of the results would be much appreciated.
  14. Invented a few maladies I did as a child…in an attempt to get out of going to school.
  15. I finished detailing the engine bay on the Bronco.
  16. Huskie Tools…maker of high-performance utility lineman tools and equipment.
  17. I wonder how many hours that took to build…and how many glue sticks??
  18. Sorry I can’t help you with the canopy John. You’ve sure done some nice surgery and sculpting so far. I hope you get the canopy issue solved because I’d sure like to see this one cross the finish line. Here’s a picture I found online.
  19. I mostly use Tamiya extra thin cement. For filling or shaping large areas I use Milliput. For joining parts, I like to pin everything if possible.
  20. Yeah, actually I have crushed glass in the cabinet now, but it all works pretty similar. On the set above I shielded the sidewalls with washers. The set below got the full treatment. I like the look…especially for truck tires.?
  21. Wow! That is some talent. I wonder how many hours it took?
  22. Places to be and things to do also prevent me from being more productive.
  23. This is what prevents me from being more productive.?
