  1. That is a truly outstanding replica.? You’ve done an amazing amount of detailing. Your friend will love it I’m sure.
  2. Nice work. I really like the engine detailing.?
  3. Nice work! I like the side-pipes too.?
  4. I managed to get the parts cleaned up and drilled and pin’s installed. I glued the lower rear bumper sections on since they are too tiny to pin and they will be easy to foil anyway.
  5. Tsk,Tsk…it looks like you just tossed that tape in there any old way.? Seriously, you are way more organized than I’ll ever be. What are those six multi colored things next to the Milwaukee rotary tool? Greg.
  6. They all look great Jason. I especially like that trio of Mopars!??
  7. There is a huge sticky in the tips and tricks section on building or buying paint booths. I think a plastic booth might create problems with static electricity although a lot of folks do have them?
  8. I made this speaker grill from a paint strainer.
  9. I don’t know if this kit is worth a build thread…but what the heck? From what I have read on here, the Revell kit is a better kit, but I don’t have one…so I will make do with what I have.? The instructions are really vague and minimal on this one, so a lot of trial fitting will be needed.? The engine seems to be pretty nice except for the intake manifold and carbs which has some deep ejector pin holes in it. I re-worked it a bit along with the oil breather tube. I filed the fan down to about 1/3 it’s original thickness and re-shaped the ignition shield a bit too.? I screwed up when scribing the split on it and may try to re do it yet if I can pry it off.? The body seems to be fairly nice, except for the little fins above the tail lights. They are hugely thick, so I glued them in and filed them off and made some from . 015” styrene. There is also a crease on the doors that needs to be filled and smoothed. That’s about it for now.? The chrome bumpers are in the pond right now. I hope to add mounting pins to them and give the Revell chrome spray another try. All comments or advice appreciated and welcome. Greg. Edit: There…I fixed it.?
  10. Nicely done.?
  11. Very nicely done!? The woodwork is outstanding!
  12. Ooh…that’s NICE! Me likey!?
  13. Beautiful work Jay.?
  14. Absolutely beautiful John. That paint combination is something else…and a nice refreshing break from red.??
  15. Beautiful work on this Steve…and you are very resourceful!?
  16. Thank You all Guys!?
  17. Is it a metal trim or a rubber molding? Metal trim should be a satin or sg black. For rubber, I have carefully brushed on Tamiya XF-85 rubber black with no masking. Masking and airbrushing would give a better look I’m sure. Tamiya also makes an LP-65 rubber black Lacquer that I haven’t used.
  18. Thanks Fellas! I love these C1 Vettes. I am fiddling with an AMT ‘53 now, but it will take a lot more work than these ones to look good.?
  19. Nice work! Very elegant looking.?
  20. That is one slick looking ‘57!?
  21. Since it’s a replica of your own vehicle, I think you would be happier with wire u-bolts. Beading wire in 0.015” (or close) would be 3/8” in 1/25 scale. The bars themselves would be quite easy to fab from a bit of evergreen rectangle and sheet stock. JMO.?
  22. Beautiful looking ferrari!?
  23. Thanks Guys!? The ‘60 is actually the Revell Skips Fiesta kit. http://www.modelcarsmag.com/forums/topic/141255-revell-1960-corvette/
  24. Super nice job David!?? I have one of these, but the hood didn’t fit nicely, and I warped the heck out of it trying to fix it.? yours makes me want to dig it out again.
  25. Fantastic job Marcos!? Well deserved!
