  1. Wow Dennis! I just read this whole thread and the amount of work and detailing you put into that Scout is incredible. It looks awesome!? The woody is looking great too!?
  2. Wow, that is quite the mashup of parts.? It will be interesting to see this come together.
  3. Well I love kit bashing, and I love just about anything to do with this era of vehicles. So I will follow along Bil. ?
  4. Very nicely done!?
  5. I use .020” brass for pins quite often. When using CA to glue them into very shallow holes, like mirrors and door handles, I like to knurl them by rolling them under a fine file. It gives the glue a little more to hang onto.
  6. Why…just WHY would Revell attach a bumper to the tree like this??
  7. Thank You Manuel! It looks GREAT!?
  8. I have tossed out hundreds of those.?

    1967 GTX

    Very nice GTX!?
  10. Nice build!? A sweet looking little street rod that I would be proud to drive!?
  11. Thanks. If I had some that would make sense, but I don’t have any and I don’t want to go and buy some if it won’t stand up to a light rubbing with lacquer thinner.
  12. Is this even possible with a lacquer or enamel paint job? I understand that the gold color is very thin and won’t stand up to much burnishing. But can the gold stand up to ANY contact with lacquer thinner?
  13. That thing is just…Zany!? Great job on the leather upholstery!?
  14. I put my old Willys truck in the garage to clean it up a bit (it’s been parked near the bush for the last couple of years). This big guy was living on it somewhere, along with at least three slightly smaller ones. I took him inside to show the wife…then gave him a merciful ending.
  15. Engine looks great Bob. I like the colors on the truck too.?
  16. This is shaping up nicely David!? The interior looks great, the paint and decals look great. The whole thing looks SUPER!?
  17. The boot would be the hardest part. Maybe crinkle up a piece of tin foil? Or tissue and a bit of CA to stiffen it up?
  18. Thanks everyone! This kit is certainly a test of ones sanity!? I have to take a break from it sometimes or I will lose mine. I am currently having hood fitment issues. I sanded the edges earlier to get proper clearances, but now I see the hood is too flat at the cowl, and the hinges (which are very soon to be broken I’m certain) only allow the hood to open about 40 degrees.? So I figured I would drill a small divot for a prop rod in the hood…and went right through.? So I will refinish the hood and update in a bit.?
  19. Nice work on the interior so far. I like the blue color for the body too.?
  20. I got the back half of the exhaust roughed in and I think I can use the kit suspension pieces now. I wanted a 3” (.125”) exhaust, but a 2-1/2” (.100”) exhaust is tough enough to snake around the suspension components.?
  21. Thanks Guys! I’m not going full steam on this one yet. I pulled it out when I was getting frustrated with another project.?
  22. I don’t know Carl?‍♂️ You could possibly chuck some red sprue in a drill and turn some that look as good as these Monogram kit pieces?
  23. Just beautiful!? And all the little details are awesome.?
  24. Nice work!? The dashboard looks great. I like all the little aluminum bits.?
