  1. Bought this kit yesterday. Did some tweaking. For some reason the camera wouldn't focus clearly on the side shot.
  2. Thank you David, Michelle, David and Larry.
  3. Thank you Bob, David, Garry, David, Marty, Glen, Eric, David, Louis and Larry.
  4. Primer sealer is the key. I tried just the sandal primer you use Steve but I think that's why I had troubles. I didn't know about the primer sealer.
  5. Thank you James and Jeff.
  6. Thank you Jeff. I had a 65 4 dr hard top. Maroon with black interior and black vinyl top.
  7. Finished this last night. Another one where I had issues with the paint etching the body. And I did try to foil the side trim. Because of the layers of primer and paint. It didn't work out well and out of frustration I just chrome penned it. Not my best.
  8. Finished this last night. I did have issues with the paint etching the body. It looks better than it did as it was a very bad lime green spray paint job. That lime green that everyone in the 60's painted their cars.
  9. I also vacuum the filters a day after each use with my shop vac once they have dried after spraying a kit.
  10. I figured I’d add this info. I special ordered the paint from O’Reilly’s auto parts store. It says Patrician Green Poly on the can. Doesn’t say lacquer or enamel on the can but I’m betting it’s lacquer by how fast it dries. Also called Tahoe Turquoise Poly. Code 12745.
  11. Really nice work.
  12. really nice. Not a model you see very often.
  13. Thank you Bruce and Chris.
  14. I ordered it from Carney Plastics Calvin. Nice company to deal with. Well packaged. A guy on market place by me has one for sale. Used of course. Won't take less than $150 for his. That's about what this one cost delivered. I bought 6 from a guy about 3 years ago for $60 each. They were well used. He had more but I thought I'd never fill all 6. I was wrong. LOL! The nascar cabinet fits most models. Some pickups might not fit as they tend to be a bit taller. They also sell Novus Plastic Polish. https://shop.carneyplastics.com/NASCAR-Diecast-Model-Car-Display-Case-24-Car-124-Scale-P445.aspx
  15. It took a month to get the 3 different tubes of Tamiya polish on Amazon and went to use one last night just to try it out. I squeezed and squeezed and after a while some came out. About a third of the tube was air. Is that a normal with this stuff? I went to my local guy and he can't get it. Said I was the 3rd person this week that asked for it. Something to do with the labeling not meeting US regulations. He searched and said the only place you can get it is on Amazon. Does anyone else have any polishing products they use?
  16. The display case from Carney arrived in the mail and I picked the kit up at a local antique shop. I caught the end of the model box in a photo a vender posted.
