  2. Perfect. From the vinyl roof to the red lines. Just perfect.
  3. Nicely built. Few things in this world are sexier than a clean 2nd gen Charger.
  4. That is one gnarly looking Charger! I can picture it screaming down the highway with some old school Misfits blaring from the speakers. Well done!
  5. Recently worked a trade with jeffdeoranut. Everything went smoothly. Would trade with him again in a heartbeat. Also, he’s an all around good guy in general.
  6. “BeakDoc” is a tip of the cap to the Plague Doctors or Beak Doctors that emerged throughout 14th century Europe during the Black Plague. It’s a moniker I’ve used in some form or fashion online for years.
  7. That is one mean looking restomod! And, superbly built!

  18. First of all, thanks to everyone for the comments. I don’t take lightly compliments from those whose builds and skills I admire. As for solving the stance riddle of this particular model, I’ve deduced that the culprit is the glass. I’ve replayed the entire build in my head no less than a dozen times. Every time I mocked it up during the process it sat beautifully, including the one before my final assembly. However, the one piece windshield/side glass/rear glass part was never part of any mock-ups. And it is a rather thick and clunky clear mold compared to other “glass” I’ve encountered. I think what is happening is that the bottom edge of the windshield and side glass is meeting the edges of the interior tub, preventing the body from seating further down. I should have done one more mock-up after the glass was in place. Maybe I could have (carefully) ground down the problem areas of the clear parts before going full bore into the final assembly. Hindsight is always 20/20. Again, thank you to everyone for the comments and suggestions. When it comes to these quirky build issues it really is good to talk it out with others who have been there and done that. Every build certainly is a new learning experience and this forum is a great tool to have on the bench.
  19. Built from the Italeri kit. Painted Tamiya TS-8 Italian red and polished. No clear. Not thrilled with the stance. I wish it sat a touch lower. And the decals were horrible. They disintegrated as soon as they hit the water. The few I did use were cut out with the paper backing on and Elmer’s glued in place.
  20. I think you nailed the look you were shooting for. I love everything about this build.
