  1. They got a lot this year according to my brother who lives in Manchester.
  2. Conveniently parked across the street from where I used to live.
  3. How about stuff you'd expect to find in the junkyard but wasn't
  4. And that was cuz of all the smoog junk. The Euro car had 75 HP! Yeah, they might come back, I wouldn't mind looking at a new Fiat 500 Abarth.
  5. It was like 68 HP I always wanted to put a 13B in one. Then you'd have a real car.
  6. It was a 1.3, same engine that ended up in the Yugo. I took off the 600 pound US bumpers and that help it more than any engine mods. It made the car look much better too. Apperently, Fiat didn't like the US rules and made some big stupid THINGs to meet US standars.
  7. They didn't give the X 1/9 a name even. X 1/9 was the factory project code for the car. It was a fun little car, just didn't have that much power. And it had a whole list of problems. It had like two giant ground posts with a million wires on each post, and most of the electronics stopped working correctly. The headlights stopped going up and down. The gas gauge worked from 1/2 to full, but never below full. The strut cartridge caps popped off occationally Mine had a pair of Maserati Webbers, which caught on fire once in a while, a cam, and a header. It sounded even faster but didn't do much to make it any faster. At least it was a Bertone Ed.
  8. It also reminds me a little of the Fiat X 1/9 I had. They even used the same the headlights on the Stratos. That is exactly how the Fiat was too, always felt like you were doing 100, but in fact it was going a lot slower than that. I am not even sure it could do a 100.
  9. I love it. We are not in it, it's not moving (broke down on the side of the road) and we are still enjoying it.
  10. That is cool to get a little exposure like that. It doesn't happen nearly enough.
  11. On one of the Euro specialty real car sites there is a Series II for sale that looks like the model front end. I like that front better too. The picture of the real car might be a MC version or something. Like I said before they did about 30 different Fulvia
  12. In that case I have a bunch of qualifiers. Pics later.
  13. and when all else fails use a BFH. Personally I like the 16# Maul, but you can use whatever you have.
  14. Actually, mine is ulitmately powered by coal now that I think about it.
  15. I have one of thoes Mercs and the Heller 917 but that is about as far back as anything I have goes.
  16. Yeah, they are always, sometimes a lot more money and generally have more significant problems. I am sure and MOPARs worth anything have already been snapped up and all you find that seems like good deal anymore are fakes and frauds.
  17. I'd only waste the money on a restoration if it had historical significance, otherwise restomod. As far as MOPAR's go, IMHO they are way over-rated.
  18. Thanks, it wasn't so nice looking when I first opened the box though. They are blowing a bunch of retuned and damaged machines on Ebay, so you can nab one pretty cheap, I got mine of under $200 ($165) and had to put a little work and some new parts into it to make it an like new machine, which goes for $450.
  19. Yes, Bruno is the nephew of the Late Great Ayrton Senna.
  20. I heard that too: that it was a spark plug, which is even more strange. When is the last time you heard of a F1 plug go bad, or any modern car. They have such high output they will just about fire on anything. Maybe there is more to it and they don't want anyone one to know they used up one of their bullets already.
  21. well it was a few days ago, and I had to renegotiate the deal, and clean it up, order some parts. It checks out okay and I need a few more parts but the price was right.
  22. Me too, could happen, he passed up Kimi on more than one occation.
  23. That could be they only made about 30 different ones.
  24. Yeah, well the new section is very bumpy.
