  1. Bad luck for Flying Lizards, they probably could have battled Ferrari for the win. The were the only other car on the same lap as Risi then they were taken out. At leat Porsche still had two class wins. Let's see them 458 GTs. No surpise, but Peugeot can finally tick off that 12 hrs at Sebring box. I guess they have a new secret weapon in the pipeline. I wonder what is up with Audi? Too bad they didn't run at Sebring. I think Peugeot can do it again in June.
  2. No I don't want to see what I will have to fix because it always ends up staying on the bench forever.
  3. Yeah, I am not sure what is going on with those guys. It doesn't look like a veteran team at all.
  4. The Lamborghini Muira. The recipe for the super car.
  5. 3 if you want to count the 812 repop.
  6. The Cord page says both.
  7. Connersville In? nevertheless it's still in North America I guess it was the company that tired to bring them back to life was in OK.
  8. Yup Oaklahoma I believe.
  9. How about the first car as we know them today. 1916 Cadillac Type 53.
  10. Porsche 917. Porsche 956/962 Porsche 550 James Dean's Lil' Bastard
  11. and GTO is not gas tires and oil.
  12. Typically they have four. I guess the could have more, but you have less (like 3) then it is a trike.
  13. Purists would say Gottlieb Daimler simply because his car had 4 wheels and Benz is car wasn't a car but a trike. other very influential people Karl Benz of course Wilhelm Maybach And Dr. Ing h.c. F. Porsche
  14. I think that was the part that was blue for a 352: valve covers and aircleaner. This is supposed to be a 1960 Starliner with a 352 And this one is supposedly a 1960 with a 312 And gold was a special.
  15. maybe it was just the top of the motor. I see now, they color coded the top on a black block in most cases, but you go back further and you start getting into blues and greens.
  16. I haven't seen any black ones. I have seen a 1960 Starliner with 312 that was red and a 352 that blue. Both presumed to be original.
  17. You gotta get that baby going. The basic machine is just half the story. All the tooling and fixtures are the other half. I can do some basic stuff but lack the tooling and fixtures currently to get crazy with it yet. But I am slowly acquiring stuff.
  18. So I finally got everything up and running, dialed in and tuned up. And I am pretty happy with everything. It was quite a bit of work to get everything just right. However, I was able to mill a step under 1mm with zero runout 1 inch long, and I was able turn a .075 in off a thin wall brass tube on the lathe, which the machine has zero runout. However, not all of my test stock had zero runout. I am sure it could go more. I turned a piece of alu almost paper thin, but my starting stock slightly bent. So far I used more that I would have ever imagined, and it's an invauluble tool. It seems to have unlimited possiblities. I am happy.
  19. The rest of the parts to get my lathe going.
  20. It's not a real Lamborghini. It's a fancied up Audi A8, which might be a nice car, but it's not a Lamborghini. It doesn't even have the halmark gullwing doors. It's Germany's idea of what a Lamborghini should have been: heavy on engineering and technology and very light on passion and emotion. A bit stuffy. A really fantastic car need balance between those. Ferrari is getting close. The Germans are capable, the Carrera GT comes to mind, a brilliant car, they just don't have enough passion most of the time. It is funny however, the Gallardo suffers a lot of engine bay fires just like when Lamborghini was building cars.
  21. It's kind of cool with doors and everything. I have the anniversary ed Enthusiast kits and the Diablo, also with opening doors.
  22. Here are some of my oldie but goodies. Original AMT 300sl A very rare Entex Bugatti Royale An original Gold Cup 500K and probably my oldest kit an original 1957 vintage Sopwith Camel. How about a Hubley Duesenbury from the early 70s I think you can still find this kit around. Another old AMT kit Another 300SL Heller 917 Protar 512 Another Protar
  23. 1 block away from boardering rival gangs: Crypts and Bloods. He complained about it alot.
