Hi everyone. Yes, you've read correctly "hardtop". Although I know the brand for the last 30 years, I had never heard or seen any 1963 Cadillac Eldorado in that body version before, until a couple of years ago. Indeed, Original Part Group, Inc brought out an unbelievable and gorgeous 1963 Cadillac freshly restored for the 2014 SEMA show. According to the group, it looks like only 9 to 12 estimated units have been made at the time, knowing that Cadillac produced only Eldorado "biarritz" convertibles that year. The car is visible on the group website and on Youtube. I guess that if the car would have been made in 1963, it could have been called "Eldorado Seville". I couldn't resist to build one and this Caddy is made from a Dan Decko resin copy of the Jo-Han's Coupe DeVille kit version. Wheels and bumpers are from a kit donor. Regular trims have been sanded and I have created the new accurate "Eldorado" lower body moulding trims. A few details to find and add again such as mirrors, antenna... Hope you'll like it!

HI Michael, thank you very much!. Over the last 30 years I have seen only 2 1966 limousines without the rear window openings. Definitively customized by a private manufacturer or coach builder. Yet, almost all of the"regular" business limos were having them, vinyl top or not. Even the converted limos by Derham, under an heavily vinyl padded roof, were showing rear windows but reduced in size. Not doing that opening on my model isn't voluntary, I have faced many problems with the mastic used to raise the height of the top and to transform the D pillar. So, to prevent any further damages during the building, I went with this option.

Hi guys ! This time again I am sharing with you my last transformation. Another Cadillac of course!. Last fall I discovered that Hasegawa had released a new version of their "Amercian 66" Series, ( including their Coupe Deville ) into a "lowrider" series. I jumped on the occasion to buy 2 kits in order to create from them a series 75 limousine. Hasegawa's kits are not as refine as the Jo-Han's Coupe Deville of the same year, but working from Johan's 66 Caddies is inconcevable to me, since these promos or kits are very rare and really expensive. And to be honest, Hasegawa's are really good to start from. So there she is !. Chassis, B,C and D pillars, interior including passengers compartment have been modified or created of course, as well as original wheelbase. Then, all the roof have been levelled up cause limos roof were higher than regular Deville series. I have added a "vinyle-ish" top option on my model, to make it even more rare, since most of the real 66 limos were not having it. Over the last 20 years, I have seen only one model conversion like this one, without the vinyle top. So, since no Cadillac limousines have ever been made by any kit manufacturer, I guess that my model is maybe unique. It's by far the most complicated transformation I have ever done. Hi guys ! Sharing with you today this Jo-Han's 1969 Cadillac Deville convertible, my first build of 2019. It's a promo that I have converted into the convertible version, as Jo-Han never proposed this specific model. ( just the Coupe Deville and the Eldorado ). If I recall, I think I got that promo for 3 bucks about 15 years ago because it was totally damaged. Half of the roof was gone, such as A pillars and windshield. The body looked like a cat had chew big parts of it, was full of little dents and most of the original paint was scratched. I didn't know what to do with it at the time but I couldn't let it go, so I kept it and restored it. I have detailed the interior with carpet, wood-ish inside panels, created a soft boot and added front seat's headrests and wider white walls. For the colour, I tried to get as close as its original one, such as Sapphire blue Met. Still a few details to finish yet, such as antenna, scripts and mirrors but overall this is it. Hope you'll like it.

Thanks Chris !. Tom's 1970 coupe Deville's also very nice !. It's a pity than no manufacturer offers '50's to '80s "regular stock" Cadillac model kits anymore. The vast majority of Cadillac in shows now are Lowriders or customs....

Hi ! Tough question !. Only Cadillac for me... Passion's too big, I couldn't pick only one or two, there are so many models I'd love to see made!. In fact, would be great to see the ones that could fill the gaps that Jo-Han Models has not produced. So, many Sedans or limousines. Here are just a few I would love in my collection. 1949-1953 Fleetwood, 1954 Eldo and 1958 Eldorado Brougham, 1960 limo and 1962 Coupe deVille, 1967 and 1969 Limos, 1972 Fleetwood and 1976 Limo, 1977-78 and 1980-84 Eldorado Biarritz................etc etc...

Hi guys ! Sharing today an old built, the Cadillac Coupe De Ville 1976 by Modelhaus. As these kits are ultra rare now I just regret to have built it at a time where my skills weren't as good as they are today. I could restore it completely though. I guess this Cadillac's still presentable and worth a few pics here, don't you think ? ...Ah, If only Revell would stop doing Customs and Lowriders to offer more old "stock" american cars !

Hi Bill ! Thank you very much ! Still some flaws though I completely forgot to sand the script Cadillac on the trunk before painting cause there are none on the Fleetwood version, and the A pillars shouldn't be covered by vinyle. Next one I'll correct that !

Hi guys. This Cadillac is a Page Resin kit. The cast was very good but needed some prep. Originally looking more like a regular DeVille series, I've turned and built it into the Fleetwood series, with lower body trims added, a matching interior and a "Brougham-ish" upholstery. Definitely one of my favourite Cadillac in my collection.

WOOOOUUAAAHHH !!! So cool !, and the colours are just fantastic. It reminds me the blue version you made years and years ago !. How I'd love so much you to make a 67-69 limo kit ! Thank you so much for sharing this beauty !. Stay tuned Paul, I'll also share my '70 Fleetwood Brougham very soon.

Hi guys, Sharing with you today an old built, made by Modelhaus. This is the '61 Cadillac Coupe series 62. It's now very very rare and I regret I haven't buy more than one at the time, to make a convertible or an Eldorado from it. I built it around 10 years ago, not pristine but presentable, IMHO. I also regret, (and I am sure I'm not the only one here), that Modelhaus is not around anymore....the quality was excellent. I am glad that they made amazing hubcaps for that model, way better that what Jo-Han's made for its 1961 Fleetwood. Enjoy !

Very nice Caddy indeed ! Funny but I remember I've seen a picture of it from a Fotki NNL album a few weeks ago !! You did a great job with the front seats, colour's beautiful too.
