Yeah I have to do mine in the basement also, I have 4 cats but my windows slide so I'm figuring on making something to fit right in the window to hook my vent to. I have one of those bucket vacs (goes right on a 5 gallon bucket) I could easily dedicate that to this. I did plan on a light also....

Ok my next project will be to build myself and in door spray booth. I have some good ideas for setting everything up using a clear tote turned sideways and a house heater filter to filter it. My problem is the fan, I'm on a budget and can't put to much out on a fan and hose (everything else I have) What do you guys think of using a small shop vac? Hook the suction up to a box under the booth and vent the vac exhaust out a window. My fear is it would be to strong and suck the paint down when spraying..... Opinions?

It's from a 55 Chevy 1/16th scale, I don't think that will be an easy one to find

I started refreshing this build from a long time ago after I started reading though this forum and asking questions. I didn't think to take a before pic but the change is huge. It was the kit below and modeled in color that I had never painted, I didn't want to just paint it because I like the stripe on the back so I used Pledge/Future to bring it back to life and man it looks better then it did new. Used some tips I picked up here for the redline tires and chrome trim (Molotow pen) and TADA!!!!! Can't thank you guys enough for being willing to show a newbie to the forum and for treating me like I've been a long time member.

Not to sound unskilled or knowledgeable, I don't have a clue what vacuum-form is or anything about it.

Anybody have a fix for repairing cracked glass? I don't really expect it to not be able to be seen but I want to try to hide it the best I can.
