Taarna on her bird

Here are some detail pieces for the cab. I took some creative licence with the taxi sign as I could not find an exact match. I should have mentioned if you are a fan of the movie you might want to check out my Taarna model in the " all the rest forum" in the finished part. [Shameless plug] Rock on! Jerry

Thanks for the kind comments guys. There were some great lines in the movie for sure! More to come soon... Rock on! Jerry

I'm glad they are going to put this one out. I for one can't wait! I am also happy they are doing it in 1/25 scale, 1/24 would look wrong on my shelf with my Monkee mobile and Batmobile! As for the fact that it is a curdside, I can fix that with one on my other mopar kits as a doner for the frame and drivetrain. Jerry

I removed the floor to make some changes. Here are the pics of the interior. I altered the steering wheel to be closer to the one in the movie. Added the fold away seats behind the front seat. Changed the front seat headrest. Added the radio, shifter and scaning screens for the driver. Also added a calendar for Harry as was in the movie. Also made the "venition blind" for the back window. Rock on! Jerry

Here is a project that I started a long time ago. I am a little reluctant to post this one because it was started so long ago and I have run into some issues that are preventing me from finishing it. I will get there it may just take some time. Due to recient events I have chosen to share what I have so far so it may be appriciated by others on this forum. This model started as a r&r offering but I didn't think it was very accurate so I chose to modify it into something resembling the cab from the movie Heavy Metal. I had to modify the frame to allow the wheels I chose to fit. I drilled out the frame to accept the new axels. I also tubbed the rear to make room for the rear wheels. I removed the headlights because they were crooked and to make it easier to finish them. The pictures below show the modification to the body to resemble the cab from the movie. Rock on! Jerry

Steve, another masterpiece! Amazing work! I would like to do one of these some day. I was just looking at the '58 Belvedere to see how moch work it would take to convert it to the '58 Dodge. Might be doable with lots of work. Jerry

I'd like to thank Tony , David and Joe for the kind thoughts. Suger is doing well and is is getting back to her old self. She's started initiating play with Diesel and snarks at him when she thinks he is getting out of line. Jeff, good for you! I hope you find another rescue to support. I know how you feel about forstering , my wife and I feel the same way. If the rescue here didn't have a rule about adopting siblings, we would have 3 from his litter! Hang in there, it does get better as time passes. The memories you made will help and be something you can cherish forever. Jerry

Our Sugar Rae had a bump removed and they say it's cancer. The incision is healing well and there is no other sighs that she has anymore right now. My wife and I are hoping she will be with us for a long time yet, but who knows. I've been hesitant to share this as it makes it more real but now that she seams to be on the mend I thought I'd share.

Jeff , sorry to hear about your loss of Turner. It is indeed painful when they leave us. They don't live long enough but it would be painful even if they lived longer. You may be aware that we lost Rocky last Newyears so I have some idea what you are going though. Turner was very adorable I know he will be greatly missed. I have you in my thoughts and prayers during this tough time. Jerry

Diesel had a great time at the Agillity trial last weekend. Sorry but I do not have any pics. I do have some video but didn't think I should post it here. I will say that he is getting faster and if I do not adjust my handling technic he will leave me behind! LOL Rob, looks llike your little buddy is very comfie! Jerry

I also have to agree the wheel and tires you chose are very well suited for the Malibu Dennis. I will be following this one. Jerry

Some small progress to report on Zuul. I have added some muscle tone in spots , curled the front toes to hang over the curb. And of coarse, made a base for Zuul to stand on [and house the batteries and such]. As always, comments are welcome. Jerry
