  1. Nice!
  2. Great turtorial. As mentioned above it would be great if some one could update with new pictures ? @iamsuperdan you are a moderator right? Is there a way to make a library of these good turtourials? I know on AF forum we also had a lot previously but they get hard to find if not in an section by its own where only turtourials are posted. Also they tend to die when the picture hosting sites no longer get paid for ? but that I guess can be sorted with this awesome forums library?
  3. I get to say as AC/DC say.. because I am back! Back in Black! Hood have some swirlmarks that I could not see in primer hope it looks ok after polish. I did put a extra coat after the picture was taken so I have some room for polish.
  4. Also managed to strip the paint today. So I will sand lightly to morow and then when I get the delivery of the new cans I will spray this body as well as the other one.
  5. Thanks guys for all the inputs. Yes I rushed a bit and that cost me both time and money in getting new cans. Stupid of me. I tried to sand it down even further after I had used micro mesh and polish to try to bring it back with no luck to see if I could salvage it but I couldn’t. Also noticed more orange peel on the cab when sanding. So it went in to the pond of break fluid today. Will need to go through and brush of al the old paint to night. Have ordered new cans of primer and paint and will try to Finnish before the end of the month. Wish me luck!
  6. My mess up with the clear was not skin deep so I have to strip it and that’s the worst thing I know.. so I started an other 1500… might try to throw the original 1500 body in some brake fluid to morrow and se if it comes off. But it was fun to build some thing else for a bit.. will see which 1500 that will cross the start. started today and had a great go on an awesome kit!
  7. I will need to strip the paint since it’s damaged down below the clear. Have not done that the past 10 years… so I…started an other 1500 today.. chassis is glued and primed, clear to morrow.
  8. Beautiful work there!
  9. Beautiful build my friend! It’s a great kit, have it started here in the forum and in the boxes. And since you mentioned the Tamiya kit, this is much more accurate since the Tamiya kit have a to tall roof in my eyes. Again great work.
  10. Came Out incredibly well! The design is intriguing and very new to such a classic design great work! And as mentioned, that display is some thing on its own!

  14. So yesterday I shot clear over my Tamiya black. It was a generic brand acrylic clear and on the hood and a little bit on the roof it looked like the paint cracked. I polished the hood but the damage was severe so it burnt throug in several places. It also looks dull, did I go through the clear? What is the best/ easiest way to go forward, except for the burn through. Does it seem like the clear is gone and I am trying to polish the paint since I can’t get no shine or depth back? shall I touch up the black and re clear? I can still see some damages from the other clear. And btw I am almost out of paint, can probably get some to the AB but the gas in the can is gone.

  16. Thanks for this great tip m8! It saved my 454SS but I messed up again, will see if I managed to buff it out.. or do some one have a good idea of what to do?
  17. Sweet, yes it’s definitely fragile. It went to the floor and the center rib broke of to never be seen again.
  18. Made a stupid mistake.. I was looking for my Tamiya clear but could not find it.. so I took a generic brand clear and sprayed it. Turned out ok in most places but the hood and roof looks strange.. I hope it buffs out since I am out of the black paint. Ideas? I could not resist starting the detailing of the grill and got started on the lights but had an acident with the grill, except for my painting, can you spot the problem? And just to show the Swedish Norrlänings stuk. We in the North like our extra high beams.. so they are going behind the grill so when it gets dark the High Lighters can be turned on and leave al the other cars to see bad, but these guys keep on going flat out! the paint problem..

  20. Managed to retouch the damages I made and started looking for clear.. but I was all out of Tamiya! So I had a acrylic clear over Tamiya black.. will see if it works out. Should be ok, might have been worse the other way around. Keeps my fingers crossed that it turned out good!
  21. Such a cool build! Love the stance and the body kit!
