  1. Superbird/GTX mash up! Love it!
  2. Same goes for the MPC '68 Barracuda annual. They would have to re-tool the hood, header panel, grilles, tail lights/trunk finisher, marker lights, etc. But that's just me.....
  3. You....made.....those?!?! Awesome work! Your builds are truly a treat to follow. Thanks for sharing!
  4. The New Jersey inspection sticker is a nice touch! Beautiful build.
  5. Here's the cousin to your build http://www.showrods.com/showrod_pages/meter_cheater.html BTW: Nice job on the body!
  6. I love watching well detailed scratch building!
  7. Wow... All this Infiniti activity! The Q needs some rims & tires. The ones shown on the mock-up are way too small in diameter. That model year had 15" rims standard. 16" rolling stock came with the touring package IIRC. Those look like 14's. That model Q was bulletproof. We have a handful of customers that still return to us for servicing. Great choice for a tuner build. The G35 conversion looks great. You nailed the proportions and shape of the deck lid spoiler. Looking forward to seeing it finished. Besides the Q45, I also have the J30 kit , which I always wanted to cut into a 2dr. drop top. Great builds guys, really unique stuff!
  8. May I offer a tip I learned from an incredible customizer? Get some 3/4 oz. Fiberglas mat (R/C Airplane fusalage skinning) and cut strips about as wide as the area your reinforcing. Soak the Fiberglas with crazy glue and apply to the inside after scuffing the bare plastic. Multiple layers makes it even stronger. Surprising how strong, and thin, the bracing can be. Excess can be filed/sanded smooth. BTW: That incredible customizer was Liars club president Tony DelVeccio. Great person whom left us all too soon. Thanks for what you shared with us.
  9. Cadzilla And the full answer is THX 1138. George Lucas first film credited to him during college. You are correct my friend!
  10. Sub Trivia: What does the coupe license numbers mean? Yes, there's an answer....
  11. I had a censorship issue pop up and do far 2 mods have given me no answers. I had posts pulled and other were edited too over a reason that escapes me. Not that it's the end of the world , just wondering why my post were deleted. And why my PM's with the mods get locked too before someone answers. C'mon guys..... what's the problem? Or will this get locked/deleted too?
  12. Dave & Craig, I was just referring to how it's the muscle car guys turn. You have no idea how near & dear a '68 Cuda kit would be to me....
  13. The MPC '69 is a dime-a-dozen kit.... been re-issued to death. Including all the mis-represented kits as '68's including the Judy Lily kit and the Red Light Bandit kit are '69's. Never mind the round side marker lights everyone points out: the hood, header panel, grilles, tail lights, and reverse lights are wrong..... They're all '69's. And crappy ones at that. Like I've already posted, a ton of kit potential for an accurate '68 kit. The first Hemi Cuda..... Hemi under Glass..... Sox & Martin's legendary car, not to mention all the current SS/A cars running today (Jessel's car..... Warfish.... Etc) Enough of Oldsmobiles and Hudson's..... give us horsepower!
  14. I just had to chase a contractor for 7 weeks . He finally came over last Saturday and spent the half hour to finish a few details I paid for. And he's s neighbor...... Again, it's just a pain and a hassle. Hope it all works out.
  15. Same here. For hard parts you can't beat them. I bought KYB gas shocks for the rear of the Barracuda and the front struts for the Wife's VW, along with sway bar bushings. Got all the parts within 3 days but the VW parts were sent separate from the Plymouths shocks the day after. By the weekend I had everything ....
  16. Maybe they'll install one of those synthetic noise generators like they do on Hybrids so you can hear them coming. But they'll sound like balls-out Hemi's.
  17. GM is looking to cash in on the me-too crowd. People with the means will always want to embrace the newest, trendiest that can be screwed together. But you also have to realize GM has invested HUGE money into this project. They'll revise it until it clicks. Or snaps, depending on the outcome.
  18. Wow... sorry to hear about this Rich. I haven't been bitten that hard at once, but home ownership has had its surprises. Between last fall and this summer we've spent over $10K on concrete work alone. Plus all the other "projects" that pop up. Granted I'm still punching the clock every day, but it still sucks to pay...pay....and pay. Hope things get better and send Jill our regards.
  19. I like the overhauled overhauling too! Courtney & AJ were annoying, just window dressing. Jessie can do, plus she's not THAT bad on screen. Besides, if I want to see girlies, I'll go elsewhere. As for the show itself, say what you want.... Chip is the real-deal. And his A team ain't too bad either. Great show, now if the rest of the garbage on cable would get their acts together.
  20. 413 Hemi? Regardless, nice build!
  21. I haven't seen the modeling public in such a positive mood in ages ....... Not since the early 90's when we got a rash of new tools. All the news the past few days proves we're living in a healthy hobby. These are indeed good times. Thanks to all involved
