Great builds you got there! I wondered if they could be un-zingered, and here they are. Nice body work your sharing. FWIW: You had openly mused about the windshield opening and I agree with you, the upper opening is way too high. Maybe a thin filler piece can be added. BTW: Thinking of casting these puppies after all this work is finished?

Now I have a few minutes to address YOUR attitude my friend.....I've read some of your past posts ( including that BEAUTIFUL Duster...) and I can see your the self-appointed den mother of us all correcting production dates on Hemi's and telling people that their valve covers are on upside down. That's OK coming from you.... I stand corrected.Nice of you to acknowledge that I have "some" skills. Coming from the forum Den Mother is an epic compliment. And for what it's worth, my personality defines who I am, my attitude defines who YOU are.Now go build something instead of walls jerky....

Let me get this straight. It's OK to slam a talented modeler, but when I call BS on the whinner I'm gonna get "messed with"? What ever ....

Questions for the moderators....
FASTBACK340 replied to FASTBACK340's topic in General Automotive Talk (Trucks and Cars)
"Children" wasn't my first choice.... Thanks for the info guys! [/ b] -
Do we have an IGNORE feature where chosen members can be blocked? This way I don't have to read some of the STUPID comments some of the CHILDREN post here? WTF... are some people lives THAT SHALLOW that model building becomes the end-all to their lives?!?!? There's a few on here that have nothing constructive to contribute.

Want to hear the best part? I'll say it..... I pulled up a post of a finished car by the original pot-stirrer. Looks like the chrome trim was applied with a toothpick and silver paint.WTF, YOU have the stones to nit-pik? I'll put my worst build up against that AMX ANYTIME dude. Your posts are invisible to me from here on in.

Real nice build! I grew up with a guy who had a '68 Firebird convertible. We spent many a night running the wheels off that car. Gee.....was it really 35 yrs. ago? Great memories.... Thanks.

Rommel, your build looks great considering you worked off of raw materials as opposed to a kit. All the contributing components and your fabrication skills produced a build that's going to be a focal point where ever it's displayed. Just wander up to a group checking the car and listen to what they think your work. Betcha it's gonna be good.....

When I was a moderator over at For A Bodies Only, a Mopar specific site, we would have situations like this pop up from time to time. For reasons beyond me, people would start splitting hairs over details. Instead of looking at the overall finished product and at the very least acknowledge the hard work, they feel compelled to turn a happy, proud post into verbal pooh-pooh. Guys, get a %$#@#$% grip. We're building MODEL CARS here. Everyone take a deeeeeeep breath. Who ends up winning a debate like this? No one.... Who looks bad? Everyone....

OK... NOW I see the pictures! Great job Rommel. Having watched this go together from start to finish was a treat. Incredibly talented you are! Take a break and charge your batteries. Looking forward to the Camaro build. BTW: Diecast? Wow.... that was uncalled for Dude. You just pee'd in the punch bowl at this party.

No pictures.... just a note stating exceeded bandwidth. I'm looking forward to seeing this car finished

Not that I'm building much (can't seem to find an hour or so lately....) but I do plan on picking up a few kits at NNL East in a few weeks. I know there are differences between the AMT & REVELL versions of the new Challenger. Which is the kit Mopar a guy can live with?

The bars on the back of a front drive drag car are more like traction bars. When the car launches the weight transfers to the back, unloading the front wheels and killing traction. These bars help keep the weight transfer under control and maintain traction. NICE BUILD! And yes, a small how-to on the intercooler's would be appreciated.

Grumpy was the opposition in the Pro Stock ranks, but you have to acknowledge innovation & success. RIP to a true legend in the sport. Did I just hear Ronnie Sox fire up his Barracuda in anticipation of a certain small block Vega coming to annoy him?
