  1. Years ago they did a Provincial referendum here and 97% said to pick one and stick with it, but like every government operation NOTHING has happened and apparently we have to wait for California to do it first …….. Huh? Makes no sense to me ….. we are 700 miles North of California ………….
  2. I wish they would pick ONE time and stick to it ?
  3. Great question, James…. I probably do a little more and as long as the walk is shovelled, Dishwasher has been emptied ( apparently thats ‘my’ job ) I can do as much as I like and I can do it with NO guilt. Winter is not my favourite season and I tend to hibernate. 38 years of highway snow plowing taught me to stay in and warm when I can, and if I don’t want to go out , I head for the model room. So this winter the plan is to do WAY more. Life is short.. Jeff
  4. Take a well earned bow my friend! What a cool project and almost completely ‘ home made’, a LOT of engineering and smarts went into this build…. The Thermo King looks great ! Very impressive. You have a one of a kind unique piece. I’m impressed. Great job !! Jeff
  5. Nice job, Cody…. Looks like the CTM p/e dash…. Isn’t that stuff fabulous? The truck looks great… good to know there are no real issues with the kit, I have one in the stash that I plan on starting soon. Your efforts were well worth it. And I love the load. Excellent Jeff
  6. That is cool. What a great build. It looks really cool. Something about a day cab ….? good job JM. And fast too!
  7. Wow this is a real tutorial in engineering and scratch building. This is fabulous and the bar is raised once again. Terrific update…… incredible workmanship.
  8. Well said , Ron, we can only hope they follow this site and take the hint…. I am looking forward to what you have planned ,……
  9. Man that sounds exciting. If I had any inkling or printing smarts I’d be into the old iron that is no longer seen in the roads. I will be following your builds with great interest and an hoping you get to them all. This is quite exciting. Keep going ,I have a front row seat!
  10. Possibly, Steve, but back in the day most of these companies manufactured most everything themselves as there wasn’t a great deal of out sourcing back then , but it sure is possible…
  11. Thats pretty darn cool!!! It is turning out really well , JM ! Your vision has come to light beautifully….. Jeff
  12. Doesn’t getting old suck ? That truck is a beauty, Ron ! And I think Brian is right about the 3d printing thing. It sure opens the doors to really cool projects like this one. Really nice job pulling this together … Jeff
  13. Bren, I agree with Brian , the details are top drawer … I will be in the front row watching this one come together in the final stretch…. It looks really good to me. I like what you have done and the vision on this one, a real work truck…. Your next update will one I’m looking forward to Jeff
  14. I’m not completely sure about today’s cookie cutter trucks but I know that back in the day a few of them had their own specific specs on certain items on certain models of units. I think most of them today are pretty generic like some of the cars made today. Just more fun researching. Thanks for checking in , pal
  15. Ok ,…… its all well and fine to have a beer truck ……now …. What about the BEER?????????????????
  16. NICE haul Dusty. I LOVE CTM. Great stuff !! Jeff
  17. After a conversation with Steve aka Muncie, I have come to the conclusion that the idea of a 100 gallon fuel tank is a good idea, and I was initially only going to put one tank on, bit the possibility that this could, what used to be referred to as. ‘Line Truck’, meaning a line hauler it should have 2 tanks. So with that thought, it appears I have to source another tank and tank hangers. I modified the Kenworth hangers today as they are somewhat unique and would not really be the style used by a Hayes. Again not much of a mod but I consider this to be more accurate. It will have hold down straps too. Also as this is a ‘work’ truck and not a show truck the tanks will probably be painted just plain silver…. But for now here is a pic of the modified tank hangers…
  18. I will be looking forward to the update and how this idea works and personally I think it is a sound plan ……
  19. Gary I think your hinge looks really good, but maybe a little longer and one or two more? This trailer has 5 hinges, and a quick look about , most have at least 4 and most have 5, not sure how detailed you want to get or how much work you want, but this just may make the waters a bit more muddy.....
  20. So, it appears we are on the same page.....I think I am mounting from the bottom, as it goes, but if you look at the picture of the instructions, it could be shown to mount under the frame mount... if one looks really closely, and mulls it over somewhat.... also I think by mounting from the bottom it will give a little more 'fudge' factor for the air compressor at the back of the engine..... thanks for looking and weighing in Steve....
  21. I tend to agree HM. Also I have been told that ‘instructions’ are just some one else’s opinion anyway ??? and besides…… who looks at the instructikns anyway???
  22. Epoxy ? The two-part stuff in the tubes??
  23. Cool video ! Finally seeing a driver actually ‘ double clutch’ instead of today’s super truckers shifting without using the clutch or steering an automatic. Good old school truck driving. ! I always thought the Foden 6 wheel dump-truck was a very cool truck and the Guy Warrior always looked really sharp, thanks for the video , Steve. I’d love to go for a spin in one of those old girls….
