Well, this build is almost finished, Lol. Got most of the interior done, just some detailing to do and then on to the dashboard. I hand painted the exhausts on the underside but it looked like a five year old did it! I very rarely use brush paints for anything, it's all aerosol, so I spent the best part of an hour, maybe two, masking off the underside around the exhausts. Painstaking but much neater job like this.

ha, true that! Round2 should do a "promo series" no mistaking what's in the box then.

Well done, that man! I'm glad it was brought back from the dead, for how basic it is it's a very attractive model. Would love to see more of these basic kits brought back, even as promos.

Most Involved Part of Building?

Yes, cutting thin strips with a straight edge then laying it down has proven to be far more easy, and safer, than trimming it on the model. I sometimes slip with the blade or go off course if I trim it on the model. -
Looking great. The '64 Impala is such a nice looking car, I think I'll pick another of these up.

I've seen a few of these '59 Imperials posted on the forum and just had to pick one up after seeing how good they can look. This AMT model is more than just basic, it's literally a curbside promo model! If you exclude the custom parts in the box there's probably less than fifteen parts to build this thing! I've decided to go with the convertible option, black with beige and white interior.

Most Involved Part of Building?

Depends what kit it is. For me, I find the suspension components can be the most involved part of a build on newer more detailed kits. Older kits, it's the interior detailing because of the tub usually being one solid block. Foiling is kind of up there too for me but that's more time consuming rather than challenging. -
Very nice work, good save. Liking the interior colour too.

These are the rest of the drawings I found. I don't have any more, my later stuff which was far better than this was left in college to be graded and never picked them back up. The only ones that survived are the ones done in pencil, I only have them because I though they weren't good enough to be graded so I took those home.
