    Rudd Tide Lumina

Thanks Ed. Ricky was never my favorite, but he was top 5. Wish we had more old school guys like him that drove hard, spoke the truth and if a tussle was needed well that could be accomplished too.

Thank you Larry. One always could pick out the Tide ride anywhere on track.

Thanks Kirk and again thanks for the help with the craft paint. It was fun and I’m looking forward to more of it.

    Rudd Tide Lumina

Yay finally got one done. Special thanks to kmidd65 for the info on using craft paint. Monogram kit that I lowered, added one of the + kit drivers that I had to do some surgery on to get it to fit, added ignition boxes, hoses and various wiring, widow net (only the second I have ever made and I need work on it, but thanks to Clay Kemp’s new YouTube channel for simplifying the process for me), filled the nose (more on that later), and finally added the air channels to the deck lid. Built this for my dad as Ricky is his favorite driver. Built as close to the car at Phoenix in 1993 (a race we were at) which accounts for the filled nose since they were experimenting with the 94 nose already. As alluded to earlier I used craft paint and mixed 2-1 fluorescent orange and basic red to get the tide look. First time using an airbrush as well and am never going back. Decals were original kit issue and a pain in the..well you know. Thanks for looking and any advice or critique is welcome. I’ll shut up now.
  7. Sorry, I had replied and it did not take. Thank you for the heads up.

    34 Ford Coupe

That car is awesome. Looks like I opened one of my dad’s old photo albums from the track.

    #3 Earnhardt

Evert Earnhardt car I have ever built turned into a paint nightmare. Hopefully the next one works out to look similar to these.
  10. Always liked that Kellogg’s car. Maybe I’ll build one some day, hope it looks that good.

    #24 Jeff Gordon

    Real good looking Gordon cars.
  12. Looks good. How much of a pain id that hood decal? I have yet to build this car and that particular decal looks like it might be a bear.
  13. One word, NEAT!

    1974 Petty Charger

Good job especially for a first NASCAR build.
  15. Great job. If only the Frances had listened to smokey about fuel cells, Fireball would have been around a lot longer.
  16. Good looking Champ car.
  17. Ha! I am literally watching the bondo dry on the body for this very car. Hope mine turns out this good.
  18. Great looking LM. I remember when this style first started showing up and dominating the older style cars. Coolest things out there then.
  19. Good looking car. Someday I’ll build one. Have read that the front suspension is a bear.

    Dew Buick

Love that stance. Always liked that era of Buick for its “mean” look and you enhanced nicely.
  21. Good looking car.
  22. Good job. Always liked the uniqueness of this car.
  23. Real nice work.
