Some of the video I have seen on the news is stunning. I have seen houses and cars float away before, but not at the speed that is being shown. I hope all stay safe.

There is a vendor who appeared at the NNL East shows, I think his name is Len Fienberg, possibly DBA "Fantastic Plastics". Does this ring a bell? I used to have his link in my other computer. Google just brings up someone selling military & sci-fi. Len always had lots of domestic car kits, as well as Tamiya, Aoshima, Fujimi, and the like. Is he still in business?

Not only is that a neat show rod, but I see some great parts for other builds! The engine w/ headers, steer horns, wood crate, antique trunk, headlights... it's a doner's delight!

How can road course racing be thought of as a negative? Isn’t turning left AND right the very essence of racing? More skill is required. The car has to be set up for “full†handling. I wonder if the gripe has something to do with not being to view the entire race at the track for one vantage point?

So much here has been wrote, and I agree with the viewpoints of those who say that changes are needed. Indeed they are. Too big, too boring, too much “cookie cutter†cars, tracks, and personalities. One thing I can think of to jazz it up a bit, and a nod towards NASCAR’s roots, is to add a few DIRT TRACK races each year. The teams already do special fabs for individual tracks, plus road tracks. The wife and I used to go to the race @ NHIS (now NHMS) in Louden each year, but… no longer. Now we may watch the Daytona 500, but that is about it, plus an occasional rainy Sunday… tune in to NapCar… hope to wake up for each crash. Sadly, that is the only real excitement left. The rest seems like such mindless orbital rotation… makes me think of Jeff Dunham’s Nascar comments… â€THEY’RE COMING DOWN THE STRAIT! NOW THEY’RE TURNING LEFT! NOW THEY’RE GOING DOWN THE STRAIT! Ohhh…. I wonder what they’ll do next?!!!â€

I recall a man by the name of Kevin Keys putting on a model car contest in Bennington, Vermont every February. Does anyone know if, and when it will be? Thanks.
