  2. Nice, clean vintage Ford tin.
  3. I like the part from the front of the grill to the back of the grill.
  4. How can road course racing be thought of as a negative? Isn’t turning left AND right the very essence of racing? More skill is required. The car has to be set up for “full†handling. I wonder if the gripe has something to do with not being to view the entire race at the track for one vantage point?
  5. So much here has been wrote, and I agree with the viewpoints of those who say that changes are needed. Indeed they are. Too big, too boring, too much “cookie cutter†cars, tracks, and personalities. One thing I can think of to jazz it up a bit, and a nod towards NASCAR’s roots, is to add a few DIRT TRACK races each year. The teams already do special fabs for individual tracks, plus road tracks. The wife and I used to go to the race @ NHIS (now NHMS) in Louden each year, but… no longer. Now we may watch the Daytona 500, but that is about it, plus an occasional rainy Sunday… tune in to NapCar… hope to wake up for each crash. Sadly, that is the only real excitement left. The rest seems like such mindless orbital rotation… makes me think of Jeff Dunham’s Nascar comments… â€THEY’RE COMING DOWN THE STRAIT! NOW THEY’RE TURNING LEFT! NOW THEY’RE GOING DOWN THE STRAIT! Ohhh…. I wonder what they’ll do next?!!!â€
  6. I recall a man by the name of Kevin Keys putting on a model car contest in Bennington, Vermont every February. Does anyone know if, and when it will be? Thanks.
  7. That Aston... doesn't... bother me... no, not at... IEEEEEYYYYY!!!
  8. How did I miss this before? The amount of customizing is amazing!!! You continue to amaze!
  9. Is that supposed to be a car, or a deli slicer???
  10. I don't know why, but I think it's a model. That is how I voted.
  11. Yet another reason to attend Burning Man!
  12. Way nice!
  13. Gregg's installing a wet bar for us!
  14. It's neither here, nor there
  15. Thanks Harry. Here is a few more.
  16. Man, I am so happy to find these! I used to do quite a bit of sketching back then. I haven't done a picture in decades. Here is one of them...
  17. You can build a fairly good 2D from the Monogram kit. If you find one, it shouldn’t cost too much. Only the top of the engine will be visible. I used the block from the Beer Wagon, which needed a platform to raise it to the correct height. The wheels are from Perry’s, and would be difficult to find now. This is the kit:
  18. Try typing "Chaparral" into the search feature. There have been a few shown on this board.
  19. Nevvah hoid of it!
  20. Wow... snowing in Phoenix! The weather has been out of whack for quite a while now. A meteorologist once explained "global warming" as out of balance weather patterns, and extremes that continue over a period of time. Whoever named it "global warming" really blew it. Even unusually cold weather can be a result of these screwy weather patterns.
  21. I am hoping for a better year ahead. This year was a bust as far as building goes. I completely lost motivation. Here's to looking for a better future. Happy New Year to my hobby board family!
  22. Kane, that has to be one of the best... the cleanest looking 'stang coupes I have seen here! Congrats!
  23. Peter, I don't think I have ever seen anyone else display such a classic display! Nothing else compares. Good job, bud!
  24. Dang! Both look great!
