  1. Car looks good! AND... nice to see the skelly NOT in pure white for a change!
  2. Link not working for me...
  3. The commentaters on TV said the Aston was a birthday gift from the Queen to Prince Charles some years ago.
  4. I figure that Franklin Mint is good for doing the Aston. Maybe Yat Ming could add the high top Rolls to their limousine series.
  5. Great set of photos, almost as good as looking into the kit box which for me is still in the mail. From what I can see, there looks to be many parts that were done quite well. That being said, I talked to my model car kit vendor yesterday who said that for him, the kit seems dead in the water and that was true even when he was taking pre-orders. Is that because of all the negative reviews or are Falcons just not a very popular subject? Personally I have always liked Falcons and owned a '65 Futura Hardtop 4-speed which I still miss. I always found it hard to understand why people did not think it was the coolest car on the street!
  6. Friend of mine built a '59 Chevy Brookwood Wagon. I don't remember if it's a JF, or R&R resin.

To post photos, you will need a photo hosting site. I use Fotki, but most others use Photobucket. Once you do that, we can help you with the rest.
  8. I'm watching it on cable news... honestly, if they didn't tell us, it would be impossible to tell if it was Japan's tsunami zone, or tornado destruction in the South. There is so much damage, from so many different natural disasters around the world, it's as if there is nothing natural about any of this.
  9. Huh? What? Did you get day-after dibs on Buckingham Palace?

    U like? I'm doin' 3 shows daily!
  11. Just a few... '86 Buick Grand... AMT's '53 Corvette, in need of a lowering: My '67 Vair... If this one had an engine... it would be a six! Mid-ninetees Monte Carlo's... were they sixes? If so... Wow! That's more sixes than I thought.

Jeez, Gramps! I think you nailed the look! Nice build!
  13. I think you're on to something! Great ideas! The Ecto does have a tall roof as it was designed for utility work... If you find a more traditional roof, such as the '59 Chevy as you stated, you need to get one from R+R, or Jimmy Flintstone. I was able to find a pic of a 1960 Cad converted to a Woody Wagon, with the more traditional wagon roof.
  14. I also got 43 out of 50.
  15. I've been watching a few build-up of the Falcon. The more I see shots of the chassis, the more convinced I am... the tool designers... just plain winged it. Really! I know for a fact that the exhaust design isn't even close to accurate. I think they literally guessed at the shape. The entire chassis pan lacks detail, much like one could expect if they lacked (chassis) reference photos. The rear wheel wells are tubbed, which could be a concession to a future release; yet I would be more inclined to believe that it is (again) lack of actual reference. We don't have hundreds of these cars still zipping around every town here in the States; and in China? Closer to none at all. Not a slam; people! Not at all. Just a nod to acknowledge where this kit was designed. Bad design could happen anywhere, but in China, the odds increase due to their unfamiliarity with the subject. Before they were ever handed photos, they had most likely never even seen a Falcon.
  16. If someone were to build one to show how good it looks, then I would probably go with a black over orange paint, and some wide 20+ wheels. Wait. What?
  17. I'm going with model.
  18. Life can always be worse... I thank God I wasn't given the middle name of "Crapo".
  19. Right. It don't matter if it has Ardun heads, or anvils for pistons... it will still be called a flathead, technical accuracy notwithstanding.
  20. IIRC, in one of Big Kahuna's editorials, he made apologies for not being able to deal with the volume of e-mail he gets. Suggest you try again, this time with a title something like "HOT LONELY WOMEN WANT TO MEET YOU". You should get a faster, if not more disappointing response.
  21. Look at it this way... if you had an '84 Chevy El Camino, and installed a Buick Grand Nat'l nose & engine, would it still be a Chevy, or a Buick? Well, in my eyes, it would still legally be a Chevy, due to the vin #, but I would still tell people it was a Buick. Your engine in question... the block numbers would still indicate it as a flathead, so flattie it is. It it still a flathead, but modded with Ardun heads. IMHO, or course.
  22. If those tubs contain a taillight for a Man From Uncle car, hit me up!
  23. The thing is, this rig is so kewl, that even if it had a 'plain' solid color paint scheme, it would still be flat out awesome! Great design. Love the flipped grill that forms a lower valance.
