  1. Looking pretty sharp Steve. I'm diggin it.
  2. Pretty kewl looking little dune buggy. My father in-law had a couple of these. Brings back some nice memories. Great job.
  3. Great job. I had the same 1:1 car back in the day. Wife hated it. Nice color. Great job on the build.
  4. It's looking pretty nice Chad. I was planning on picking one up but I think I'll wait. Want to see if others find the parts warped as you did.
  5. It's been 48 hrs so this morning I got after it with some 6000 & 12000 wet color sanding. I normally don't do this but the paint looked a little grainy in spots. It's got that nice chalky look so I'm ready for the clear coat. Rain today and tomorrow so Tuesday looks like the day. I've also got something in mind about the tube that runs from the distributor up alone side the heads for the plug wires.
  6. Pretty sharp looking AD wrecker. Nicely done.
  7. Thanks man. Yeah, wet is the way to go.
  8. I cleaned up the Flatty engine parts and see that Revell went with the Helmet style distributor vs the Crab style. Much easier to wire this one. I'll have to make a couple tubes to run from each side of the distributor to up and along side each head for the plug wires. I got the engine front cover installed and did a trial fit to the chassis. Looks like it's fitting nice and straight.
  9. I'm diggin the old school Hot Rod. Great looking color. Nice build.
  10. Thanks Bob. Yup, I'm a happy camper on the way it's coming together.
  11. Welcome aboard Mike. You have some nice kits to start on.
  12. That's a kewl looking UPS truck. Great build. I'm going to have to make a call and see if I can get that UPS truck routed to my area.
  13. Thanks James. I always let the humidity get at or below 60%. The Tamiya acrylic paints seem to like to go on wet. I mix mine 2-1 but I'm going back to 50-50. I've tried light coats and it just doesn't seem to do right.
  14. Haha, I saw a 49 and a 53 AD truck. They are impostors. RUBY is safe in my garage. Well.......let me go look ☺
  15. I got some paint on the body this morning. Didn't quite turn out like the spoon test but then again it never does for me. It's a little grainy & chunky. May take a lot of elbow grease to flatten it out. If I can get the paint to fatten out I'll be airbrushing a few coats of gloss clear over it.
  16. Nice looking Deuce Sam. Great color and I love the interior.
  17. Boy, that Bug is looking pretty kewl. Love how the paint is turning out.
  18. That's a good looking 34 Roadster. Great build.
  19. Looking pretty sharp. I like it.
