Yeah I remember a fella that lived down the street from us had a black Crown Vic and I just thought it was so pretty when it was all cleaned up. I am second guessing myself now on the interior color. I'm thinking it all looks to much the same color. Whatya all think???

Thank's Dave. Yeah they were quite the car back in the day. I saw this black one online berfore I started my build and man does that black look good with all the chrome trim. I just can't paint black and make it look good.

Looking good so far. You got this one down in the weeds. How about some Kindig-It Design Custom Smooth Door Handles.

That turned out really nice Riley. The color's look perfect for that truck. Gotta love the Flatty in the business end. I love the ole trucks so you get an A+ from me on this one. Nice job. -
Thank's Ray. When I get ready to try the Dupli-color paint and clear coat I"ll do a little research.

Nice. They are all great choices but I like the modern style Wheel's & Tires. Is that a Tamiya red for the interior?

Luke is right, that color Instantly grabs your eye. Great looking model. There is just enough black to break up all that green. Fantastic looking eye candy.

Yeah I like the seat. Almost put a seat like that in my 49 Chevy pickup 1:1. -
Looks pretty good to me. That color of red looks really good. Great looking 57. I need to try one of these kits.

I agree with Mike, the paint on all your models looks really nice.

That's some mighty fine work on those shocks. I may have to try this sometime down the road. -
I know this is an older post but it is a Beautiful model and worth bringing up again. Just love the lines on these old Ford's. I'm currently working on this kit and its a very enjoyable kit to build. Great color combo and Nice foil work. Nicely done.

Ray...is there any difference in the 1K or 2K ? I'm going to try the Dupli-color paint and clear this spring.

That's looking pretty sharp RRP. Love these old fat fender cars.

Thanks man. I'm a happy camper.

I tried getting the foil on and I went into this thinking it was going to be bad. It turned out pretty good. There are area's that it didn't want to stick all that great but I'm pleased with the way it came out.

I like it with the body on there James. It's gonna make a nice looking old school Hot Rod.

I'm pretty sure I have tried the Rust-Oleum over Tamiya TS spray paint. Just can't remember I've tried so many different paints and clears. I have yet to have any kind of a reaction from one paint/clear to another. Try it on a spoon first. That's what I always do when it's something new.

Thanks for the tip. 77......we keep the house at 68 in the winter months.

On the floaters....it's best to let the better half swat at them since I have two. That way she thinks she may have gotten one of them ☺ I've been using the Rust-Oleum Crystal Clear arcylic lacquer. I did a test last summer with the air brush. I sprayed Rust-Oleum Crystal Clear lacquer, Tamiya TS-13 Clear Gloss, and Pleadge Revieve-it. All three looked about the same. I have my test posted here somewhere.
