  1. Yup. Its the new stuff. The old stuff I have has wrinkles in it.
  2. Lots of good Info fellas. Thanks.
  3. Well....I got after the foil work again and I think my luck has ran out. IT WILL NOT STICK. I tried cutting pieces from various section off the sheet and none of it wants to stick. The A pillar's and around the bottom of the front glass is basically just setting there. I pulled a sheet of the other I had and it stuck a little better but it's all wrinkled looking. Not sure what to do at this point.
  4. I'm getting really close to putting the body on for the last time. Had a little trouble with the firewall staying in place so had to clamp it for the rest of the day. I'm going to dread getting the rest of the foil work done.
  5. Thank's much Ray.
  6. Thanks fellows. Greg, I have the 66 Nova chassis in the pics. I'm looking to do just what Roger explained in his post. I've got the AMT 60 Ford Ranchero I'd love to put some big ol meats on.
  7. Thanks Mike. Dang-it.....for got the console. Now it's done.
  8. Ok....I'm calling the interior done.
  9. That really looks good now Greg. love the green and black combo. How in the heck did you get the paint lines for the green and brown in the bed to look so good with no over lap??? Man that looks great.
  10. Everything is dry but still needs a little touch up in a few places. I did a dry fit and I'm now wondering if the floor board should be blue vs the flat black.
  11. I have an AMT 66 Nova chassis setting around. I believe the rear half that is tubbed out has been cut off and graphed onto other chassis to get that Pro Street look. Looking for advise on what kit would be a good candidate to start my first major mod for a Pro Street build. If you have a build you've done this on let me see some pics and what all was involved in the process.
  12. I have been using Rust-Oleum 2X acrylic lacquer. Works really well and it can be wet sanded.
  13. Nice looking truck. With the right back drop it could pass for a 1:1.
  14. Thanks for the comment about my 49. Always wanted a Harley. So....what are you using for clear gloss on the craft paint?
  15. Yeah I know what ya mean. I had thought about a paint booth for the garage but my garage is like my second home and we keep and 49 Chevy Truck Restomod there as well. I painted a few bodies early on so I would have something over the winter to work on.
  16. I recently tried for the second time (first time things went sideways) airbrushing Testers (little bottles) enamel paint mixed 50/50 with lacquer thinner. Man what a difference over arcylics. It's my go to paint process for now.
  17. Nothing wrong with a Hot Rod. Should look pretty kewl.
  18. When I airbrush craft paints I use Windex thinned at 50/50. In my opinon I couldn't see any difference in using water, Windex, or windshield washer fluid when I did all my testing months back. Maybe I just don't have the eye for seeing the difference. Yours looks pretty nice and I like that color.
  19. Yeah but your out of the thickit and on the main path in the woods ? Looking good dude.
  20. Thanks man. I really appreciate it. Yeah....blue is my favorite color so when I saw the Cobalt blue I grabbed it.
  21. The 57 is really coming together. And you were about to put this one on the back burner at one point. Youve got it licked now and it's looking fantastic man.
  22. That one looks a little on the rough side. I'll be watching this one.
  23. Thanks Chaz
  24. Welcome to the forum Anton.
  25. Welcome Lee. If you start a thread in the "WIP: Model Cars" section fella's can see what your working on and give some good advice. The paint looks nice.
