  1. Cool car, great engine and I like the story that goes with it. ?
  2. That is beautiful. Well done sir.?
  3. She’s a beauty.
  4. Thanks you kindly Dan. :^) Much appreciated Sonny. My eyes certainly aren’t what they used to be so I purchased one of those desktop magnifier lights which I use for all detail painting, fine filling/sanding and masking <- highly recommend. Well, Fujimi’s kit will certainly make life easier. Tamiya’s kit isn’t very detailed (by their standard) but goes together well.
  5. So many awesome builds on the forum recently - I’ve missed a few as well. I’ve saved so many bookmarks from this forum and YouTube that any kit I plan to build in the future should pretty much assemble themselves. It’s tips from other modellers that have saved me numerous headaches. ?

Nice looking car, great trim work.
  7. Thanks again, Dominik. Looking forward to seeing your build. ?
  8. Thank you kindly Steve. I've learned a few lessons with Countach doors... these definitely fit better, however, if I was a little braver I would have tried using magnets to help keep them more firmly in place.

Nice custom build. Great colour scheme and choice of wheels.?
  10. Much appreciated Dominik. ?
  11. Thanks Jeremy. There are a lot of parts in the box and they go together well - definitely worth the time to build,. I managed to find a PE set but the kit would look great without it.
  12. Thanks Mario. You know a thing or two about photo setups. :^)
  13. Much appreciated Bob. You can see a photo of the shooting setup above if interested.
  14. 2x?
  15. Thank you Mario… from one photo guy to another. ?
  16. Thanks Ryan! Here is a photo of my setup: There's more equipment above than average hobbyist might have, however, the same effect can be achieved with items from around the house or a trip to Michaels. The soft box can be replaced with a desk lamp placed above a couple sheets of tracing paper, a white pillowcase, shower curtain etc. to soften/diffuse the light. The key is to place the diffusion material relatively close to the model. Experiment by moving the lamp closer and farther away from the diffusion material to see the effect on the car. You will likely have to block light from the lamp from hitting the background - try placing some black construction paper behind the light (opposite the camera). Also try rolling out more paper (moving the background farther away) to get a nice gradient effect. A more basic point-and-shoot camera will work nicely, too. Just put the camera in Manual mode and adjust the shutter speed, aperture, ISO until it looks good on the screen. Bracket your exposures - try a few that look brighter and few that look darker as they may look different on a computer screen. You can use a cellphone camera but it would be best if you can manually adjust the exposure. There are apps that allow manual control of the camera but you should be able to adjust it by tapping on the screen and adjusting the slider controls. Hope this helps :^)
  17. Thanks Jim. Someone has been digging through older post here. There have been a few I've missed as well. 8^)
  18. Thanks Steve. ? Pretty sure Aqua Gloss is acrylic based. Bottle instructions say to rinse immediately after use with warm water. The product is designed to coat/protect/enhance their lacquer chrome paint - I assume it is water based so it will not react/tarnish their lacquer. It also states that Aqua Gloss can be used to coat airplane canopies - something Pledge/Future is used for. The rims were sprayed with a couple coats of Tamiya Smoke X-19.
  19. Nice looking machine. 2 tone paint is great.?
  20. Clean build, paint looks great. ?
  21. Looks really nice to me. Your issues don’t show and that was a nice save with the wheels.
  22. Appreciate it Dan. ?
  23. Thanks Dan. When I first saw that colour being tested by a YouTuber I knew I had to try it on something. Looking back on this build, I kinda wish I’d done something different with the wheels.
  24. Well now, that looks very nice! I’ve heard of fit/ride height issues with these kits… certainly not seeing it here. Nice to see it other than white.?
  25. Gorgeous car. Great mods. Very fine work on the trim.?
