  1. Superb.?
  2. So well done! Was watching a couple build videos on that kit… some challenging aspects for sure.
  3. That van! ? Thanks for sharing your year at the bench.
  4. Well you certainly hit the nail on the head when you said “up to the challenge.” Found this post today: Fujimi Enthusiast kits look to be a magnum opus build. Might need a pallet cleanser or two before tackling something like this. ?
  5. Thanks Tommy, it had to be black/gold. If I build another one I’d probably go with red/gold. You’re a braver man than I… from what I’ve read the Fujimi Enthusiast kit takes some real patience to assemble. I had to (chose to) hack up the interior in order for the body to slip over the chassis. Pretty sure I didn’t do anything wrong during assembly as this fellow encountered similar problems with his kit. The photos and forum post almost take as much time as building the kit. :^o Always looking for the very best angles to accentuate the car and trying not to sound like a total moron when I’m typing (as I’m sure my English teachers did).
  6. Thanks Kurt. Those Fujimi Enthusiast kits look very tempting, but not for the faint of heart me thinks. Had 2 posters myself ?.
  7. You had a 454!! That must have been fun to drive. Wish I could have afforded one when I was shopping for mine.
  8. High level of finish on display there. ? I recall seeing a few of them throughout the year. Thanks for sharing.
  9. Like ‘em all, especially the Satellite.?
  10. Nice year at the bench. I recall seeing most of those posted over the past year. ?
  11. Wow, that is a sweet collection of builds. I recall many of those posted over this past year. ?
  12. Been enjoying your builds on Instagram. ‘Bout time you were on here. ?
  13. The 1949 Talbot Lago T26C is gorgeous. Wouldn’t be able to tell it apart from the real car.?
  14. Thanks Trevor. Pretty sure that texture came from dusting on the semi gloss clear as opposed to flooding it. “big, greasy wing” ?
  15. Much appreciated Tom. That’s why we’re living in the golden age of the hobby. A wealth of information available at our fingertips plus an incredible amount of products available.
  16. Thanks Rich. I’m a big fan of the gold rims, too. The compressor regulator is set to 18 psi, assuming it’s anywhere near accurate. I have been using MCLT at a 1:1 ratio with Tamiya’s lacquer paint. I’m going to try dropping the psi down to 12-15. I know AK Interactive’s Xtreme Metal paints go on beautifully in this range. I have no issue with smaller parts or rounded surfaces - it’s always the larger, flatter surfaces like the hood and roof. Fingers crossed.
  17. Looks like you have your bases covered.? I built a Tamiya kit 30+ years ago, the one with the battery powered motor (and only survivor from my youth). The motor still works and the doors seem to fit better than the Aoshima kit. I would definitely build another Countach - might be worth while looking into one of the Enthusiast kits.?
  18. Excellent quality. Thanks for sharing.
  19. 1970 Corvette Coupe… nothing fancy, 350 300 HP 3.08 differential. Owned it for 8 years now.
  20. Every time I’m about to post a comment I scroll down to find more of your builds. ? They are all very nice, my favs are the Chevelle and Belvedere. ?
  21. Looks really nice. Love that interior. ?
  22. Thanks Harry! Cheers Sorry Spike, I'm an idiot. It's not a Fujimi, it's an Aoshima kit: https://www.scalemates.com/kits/aoshima-059456-lamborghini-countach-5000qv--1291940
  23. I agree 100% beeRS... I had one on my bedroom wall. I was torn between black/gold and red/gold - thinking I might build a second one. Yes, it is an Aoshima kit.
  24. Truly inspiring work. ?
  25. I really like the black on black colour scheme you chose. ? When I saw your photos I was thinking that’s something I’d like to build. Then I read your build notes and now I’m thinking… not so much.
