  1. great looking Chevy, I like it especially a factory stock or a daily plane Jane rider. keep them coming.
  2. that's a really well done build, looks great in that color. an excellent build and you're right, sometimes fitting all those Greeblies in there can be really challenging, I often do the same.
  3. Built back 2014. Nice kit, builds nicely . I love cars from that era but I wish there were more from Chrysler. I guess they were less popular back then and because of the war , the forty's saw less models coming out of the factories.
  4. I saw blade runner back in 1982 and just loved it I still watch it from time to time and I also saw 2049 which I find just as good as the original. I waited a long time to finally build a model when it became available. Your models are really stunning . very well done. Syd Mead was truly legendary, sad irony he left us in 2019, the year the first blade runner is set
  5. this is the Revell Chevy 65 ? I think. I built it a few years back. I removed the bed and scratch built this one out of evergreen styrene. this was the fate of several of these working trucks when exposed to snow and salt and living here in Canada, these were a very common sight. the drum and jerry can were added later. The weathering was made using different techniques and some of them came from here so here is a tribute to those who willingly share their tips on this forum. In fact, I got a lot of inspiration from a lot of you guys.
  6. thank you all for your kind comments. Steve, For the bumper and cab I use the salt technique where you apply a base coat , usually different shades of brown, then wet the areas you want to rust with water and then loosely apply salt over these areas. then you apply a top coat, let it dry and rub the salt off. For the cube, I used artist's oil diluted and applied with a small brush to simulate rust around the rivets. Dan, I use my model photos as wallpapers at my work place and I often get that " I thought it was real " especially from people who don't anything about scale models.
  7. with all that stuff on this truck, no wonder the axle broke i like it, the dirtier the better. great build. Keep it up
  8. thank you all for your kind words. These trucks were a familiar sight when I was growing up. How time move so slow when you're young and so fast when you're old.
  9. nice job .I have the recent coke version I haven't decided on the color yet keep it up Rick
  10. I build mainly to put them in a glass cabinet so I don't get to open the hood really. This particular kit was from MPC and the engine details were sparse. but from time to time when I am in the mood I get the engine bay dressed up but nothing like the level we often see here, but I will post some of the builds I made with a more detailed engine bay. and thanks to you all for the nice comments.
  11. This is the AMT FORD C600. Pretty much out of the box with a little weathering. Always liked that truck, it has a distinctive front end. When I was young (a century ago it seems) we would see these everywhere. That what is fun with this hobby you can bring them back and with them, lots of memories.
  12. parking in Montreal is an exercise in deciphering the 10+ sings on the same post and hoping you won't get a ticket because you didn't read correctly. thank for looking.
  13. Being a big Mopar fan, I build a few dodge pick-ups. This one is re-issued MPC with the service bed from the moebius ford service truck. This one is totally fictional. I used the decals from the lowboy kit The bed fit just right in. The grey color is inspired by what HYDRO-QUEBEC trucks looked like back then.
  14. My very first build from a 17 years hiatus, this the Revell kit which is truly well designed and assembles really well without any issues. I gave it a daily driver farmer look. Pops won’t be happy when he finds the ticket left by the “gendarme”
  15. not much into hot rods but I must say yours really looks nice in this color great build, nice and clean
  16. nice raptor. Modern snap kits are way better than they use to. Your build convince me to get one.
  17. some of you asked for the color I used, I used Tamiya ts 15 blue with 2 coats of ts 13 clear. I like Tamiya lacquer spray, they flow really well and they dry fast.
  18. years ago I would never have guessed that I would eventually like the lines of the Pinto. Nicely done
  19. nice looking jag, dark green . Doesn't get more British than that.
  20. thanks for the comments, the garage is made of foam core covered with corrugated cardboard from a craft store and the doors are painted over transparent plastic. it's only 4 in deep with photos in the back, it's surprisingly effective. However I want to improve the asphalt to give it a more convincing look.
  21. nice bunch you have there. I like the weathering. I wish they would re-issue the warlock. I like that era of the dodge trucks. keep up the good work
  22. This is the re-issued MPC dodge 78 pick up with the Krupp bike. always liked these 70's dodge pick up
  23. this is the re-issued MPC dodge pick up with the Krupp bike. always liked these 70's dodge pick ups. The paint is Tamiya blue.
  24. My first post will be this Revell ford 1940 coupe build a few years back when I started building again. Nothing fancy, just out of the box.
  25. welcome Keith, just got here myself after on long period lurking. happy modeling Mario
