  1. Simple build, box stock . When I was younger, I had no interest in old cars, I grew up in the muscle car era and when I was old enough to own a car in the mid seventies, the muscle cars were in serious decline so my interest was mainly the late sixties all those Camaros, olds 442, road runner etc. But over the years, I came to appreciate the beautiful lines of the 20's 30"s 40's. Of course beauty is in the eye of the beholder as they say. The last 2 photos show the Chevy alongside the ford 40 coupe posted earlier.
  2. This one nice build. the interior looks so real. These snap kits are really well done. Great idea to cover the lens with nail polish. The photos with the background looks so cool.
  3. Thank you guys for your kind words. Peter, MPC issued recently a true 1/72 scale eagle. It has nothing to do with the old off scale kit from the 70's.I built it and it's just is as amazing as the 1/48 kit. I also built the newly tooled 1/72 Hawk also. I will post them eventually. be well
  4. Nicely detailed little truck. I like the details in the engine bay. the outdoor photos are also nice. I wish I could take outside pictures more often. My free time and nice weather rarely coincide.
  5. I did not know that this kit existed, I remember the white grand prix which seems to be more common. the color fits pretty well that era. Nice and clean. the pictures make it pop on the screen. Good job Dominik
  6. what more to say that haven't been said, this is fine craftmanship. The car , the setting, the photos. All perfect. this is the kind of work that inspire me to better myself. Excellent work Tony
  7. not into boats but , darn , that's one intimidating engine right thee and the color really catches the eye. Great build. This thing looks real !
  8. I've been waiting for this model for a very long time. I used to watched the show not so much for the story but I really enjoyed the space ships and the special effects. The MPC huge 22 inches long kit accurately represents the 44 inches studio model. I weathered it just a little to represent a fictional daily flying workhorse in and out of the atmosphere. I added light in the cockpit and in the pod.
  9. Amt ford 8000 snow plow kit. I left out the snow plow, I kept it for another project that is still floating in my head somewhere. These AMT kits are beautiful but boy, if you're not into trucking, the instructions aren't the most helpful, thanks for the internet but a lot of times I scratch my head to figure out what goes where. So for the experts looking please forgive the inaccuracies you might spot. when it comes to big rig, I am totally ignorant.
  10. My first Moebius truck kit, these kits are really well engineered . This was the model king version. It was on of my first attempts at weathering so I was experimenting different techniques. I really wish moebius would issue some dodges from the same era.
  11. Beautiful color, unusual subject , a winning combo. I like it
  12. beautiful save. I like it when a model can have a second lease on life. A good side effect to recycling.
  13. build a few years back, this the Lindbergh belvedere 64. Straight out of the box with the slant six which is a beautiful kit in its own right. This model is a replica of the car of a friend of my father's. He bought it brand new. I remember the smell when he took us for a ride. Yeah, I know, it means I am old
  14. really nice job on both build a paper model but I can understand the challenge. Can barely make a paper airplane much less a car. at first glance the mini could pass for plastic model. Excellent work!
  15. Beautiful work so far, sorry to hear about the decals. Some decals don't seem to play well with certain clear coats. Personally, I always wait at least a week before I put any clear coat over decals. The first coat is always a light mist and I wait the next day to add subsequent coats I use Tamiya TS13. I also use occasionally Alclad clear which seemed to less aggressive but the results are just as good as Tamiya. You're right, the bigger the challenge, the bigger the reward.
  16. Nice build overall, I have one in the stash that I keep putting off. I like the color and the details around the fenders.
  17. you sure did an excellent job building this, the paint combo is right on and the paint job is flawless great build Bob .
  18. Lotus and black/gold combo are a natural. I agree with the others, your paint job is excellent, and the trim is , well, perfect. The photography is first rate. keep it up
  19. excellent build, the paint and details really stand out. very well done. good color combo
  20. how things change in 40 years. A nice rendition of a significant car albeit a modest one
  21. by no means am I an expert, the instructions and the picture on the box is probably wrong but I assumed that it was the way to install it. Apparently it can be installed both ways.Depending on the model or year I guess.
  22. striking colors, nice build . Very well done I like the color combo
  23. great build, I like the matching colors of the car and engine. the wheels fit this car nicely
  24. Al, I mostly build stock, nothing against customization, but I really enjoy looking at what people do to soup up an old car to something they were never designed to do.It's amazing the creativity these customs show.I will from time to time scratch built or modify a car or truck like I did modify a Chevy truck to make a crew cab or a sleeper with a few hints at customization but that's about it. It is a personal preference.
