  1. Bob, I built this kit a few years ago as a Lindberg kit. I took the built stock route, but I am looking forward to see how it's gonna turn out . Staying tuned.
  2. Great figure, The difficult part is to get the shadows right and all the subtleties of texture and color and you sure do master it congrats.
  3. Very nice build and interesting subject. I like the color, and the blue car makes a nice contrast. Great job.
  4. Thanks for the info James, sorry about your conversion not working out, I've had a few glorious failures myself. The most important thing though is to have fun working on those, failure or not. I've been building for a long time and it never gets old. I'm still enjoying this hobby as much as I did when I was young albeit with some reduced capacity. Be safe
  5. Awesome build, color match it perfectly
  6. Now what a beautiful little gem you've got there. The colors are absolutly right for the time. I just love it. You might have push me to get one. Darn, I'll end up needing another cabinet.
  7. thank guys for the comments, Nigel, by all means, I would like to see a rodded version of this . You might have to find a younger driver though.
  8. Nicely done, You matched the patina to the real thing, I like that. Well done
  9. Thank you John, when I get the time, I might go back to it to try to fit the grill better. Your suggestion's make sense to me. It should be easy to fix. the bumper/grill being in one piece. a project for in-between projects. B e safe
  10. Just as beautiful as the other one you posted. Excellent craftmanship . And I like the color, subdue but classic.
  11. A nice tribute to a different time. You have made a very nice piece of history. The colors are right on and the build is nicely detailed. Excellent work.
  12. A beautiful charger, the design of the 68-69-70 charger in my opinion was never equaled. When you think Mopar and muscle. this is what comes to mind, for me anyways. Well done, the color works great. As for the movie color I find that it really difficult to match a color exactly, the lighting ,the negative they use ,the type of camera ,the age of the movie and the type of monitor or tv you're looking at make it nearly impossible to be right. When I make a movie car, I look at pictures or screen shots and eye ball the color to what looks right for me. remember , this hobby is supposed to be fun. If it looks right to you, then it is right. We all see those pictures thru different screens with slightly different settings. Congrats on a beautiful charger and a nice alternative color that works great on this body type.
  13. Not 100% accurate , I took the Revell kit that had the top already chopped, I did not want to mess with the hood so I left the rounded corners, I added the scoop. I swap the front bumper with the one from the woody. The hub caps are turned aluminum. (being a machinist helped ) . I wish I had known back then about fireball modelworks. Joseph makes excellent BF Goodrich radials. I settled with what I had in the spare box. The goal was not to have an exact replica but close enough to be recognized by movie buffs. it's close enough for me. My heart sank when they destroyed it but I heard they kept the hero car. I don't know the full story about the ownership of the car, but Stallone reportedly was able to get it back some years after. thanks for looking.
  14. This is a fitting tribute to both Mercedes engineering and your talent as a model builder you are way up there man. All the comments above are well deserved.
  15. Beautiful indeed, one of my favorite Ferrari along the 308 and the testarossa. very nice rendering of a classic Helmut
  16. Nice build, Something you would see in your rear view mirror on the autobahn... but not for long very nice work.
  17. A superb piece of dedication and mastery. The paint job fits so well with this car. It is the perfect sleeper. Very well done.
  18. Really nice, I like that type of color, the chrome trim is spot on, better than what I did on mine. I like your garage too.
  19. A beautiful curbside kit. As with most of Tamiya kits, the build is straight forward without any issue. I went with a light color to try to match the one on the side of the box. The color appears different because I took pictures inside using incandescent light and outside on a cloudy day . They even include a decently molded driver. Now that's an idea that I wish more manufacturers would follow. I heard that the body style was copied from the Chrysler airflow.
  20. Nice little truck. Beautiful paint.
  21. Now this paint scheme is perfect for that type of car. Outstanding. Keep it up
  22. Beautiful little ford. the paint and finish are perfect. Great work.
  23. Flawless paint job. Not easy on smaller scale. Beautiful
  24. That's a beautiful build Ron. The paint is beautiful. Tamiya Sprays are perfect for car bodies. They lay down very smooth and they are very forgiving. Their color choices keep growing. Your build does this kit justice.
  25. A nice mean looking little gremlin. Well done
