You did what most car owners back then were doing, your car, your choice.Same with models you do what YOU like. Personally, I think the wheels fit the car nicely, and the dark green gives it that sleeper look.
Very well done,
I built the 4 doors version of this kit and I agree with you on the instructions, they are very basic. Like you I had issues with the hood and had to shut it. I like your color choice. A really imposing car.
great job.
thank you all for your kind words. I was greatly inspired by Paul Michael Smith work. His pictures of his die cast cars are stunning. It's a bit of hit and miss. The distance, angle and height of the camera have to be right plus in my case, there is a combination of different techniques to achieve a reasonable result. It's a little time consuming but I found out that I enjoy photographing my models as much as I enjoy building them. So it's a win - win situation. I almost never show my cars and signing up on this forum was a way to share with fellow modellers my modest contribution to the hobby. So again thank you all who take the time to comment. I really do appreciate it.
Now that's museum quality. The details and the trim especially are right on. And it's a mopar, what's not to love.
you certainly did a great job Thomas.
Wow, that's a lot to look at. Being a big Mopar fan, this is real eye candy. you just nailed it. Looking forward to see the outside pictures. Natural light is unbeatable when it comes to model photography. Excellent craftmanship.
My favorite Batmobile, for shear look and function. Many times I wished I'd drive one of these in traffic. Moebius did a wonderful job on this kit. Would have like to show an opened cockpit but the complexity of the canopy made me glue it shut. I may build another one to show the interior though.
Thanks, for looking
