  1. Nice rendition of my favorite year charger. Nice color, it has a kind of sleeper look. Great work
  2. Interesting choice of colors, somehow it works pretty good on the old lady. You just push me over to buy that kit.
  3. That's one mean looking 'stang. Steve Mc Queen would be proud.
  4. I love them all, the finish, the build and attention to details make them all stand out.
  5. Great take on a classic. Solid skills. I like this
  6. that's a gorgeous vette there. the colors look just right. Great work
  7. Call me old school but for me a Ferrari true color is red. Of course they are still beautiful in any color, but red and Ferrari seem to go together. you have made really nice models here.
  8. Really nice trio, nice colors too. You have a real talent for scratch building
  9. Hello Juergen, I use different techniques but the one I use most is laying a brown color as a base, then wet the places you want to rust, let dry, then spray your top coat.Once dry just rub the salt off. It takes a little practice but once you get there it is pretty rewarding. As for the holes, I use a dremel tool to thin the area from behind then I punch the area I want to damage. This very simplified though, I also combine washes, dry brush pastel chalks etc. hope this helps
  10. All of them are stunning. I must confess though that my favorite id the firebird 68 as it's my favorite year and favorite color.
  11. Beautiful, looks pretty cool.
  12. You certainly did a super job on this. The details are not only abundant but very realistic. You are a really talented modeller. I get my inspiration from people like you. that is really a beautiful model to be proud of.
  13. Another crusty Chevy. This was done shortly after I came back to the hobby. I draw from experience when I was building airplanes , mostly WW II subjects, there is a lot techniques that can be applied to cars and military vehicles. This was the Cameo truck and I got frustrated with the box so I tossed it aside and pick a side step from the parts bin and voila. I went with the replacement parts theme, hence the hood and door being different colors. hope you like it.
  14. Not my best build. I screw up the rear spoiler and couldn't fit the hood so I glued it shut. Otherwise goes together well. I wish Revell would issue a charger 500. They have already most of it. If I can find the MPC kit maybe I could use some parts. The one I found are a little bit too pricy for what I want to use on the kit. the paint is Tamiya orange.
  15. Really nice work you've done on the blazer. Reminds me of chief Brody's ride in "JAWS " .
  16. I like it , it's beautiful. Personally I tend to favor realism over accuracy. It's nearly impossible to be 100% accurate. Unless you are building a specific vehicle, anything goes, your model, your fantasy. This one is really well built . Keep it up.
  17. Great build Tom, the engine looks awesome. Nicely photographed too.
  18. Beautiful job, nice choice of colors, I remember Brown being very popular in the 70's .The interior details are really nice. it's amazing how big these land yachts were, even in 25th scale they are intimidating.
  19. Dominik, the hub caps are from Fireball modelworks. Joseph has a lot of excellent products. https://fireballmodels.info/. if you want to look it up. Michael, it is a combination of the Revell 68 and 69 kits.
  20. thank you all for your kind words. Miles, I get no credit for the vinyl top. I wanted to build the " dirty Mary, crazy Larry " 69 charger so, the 68 has a smooth top and the 69 had a vinyl top so I swapped the bodies. I filled the side markers of the 69 and used the 68 round marker decals. The 68 had a smooth side so I used square decals for the marker lights. I had a little issue with fitting the front 69 grille on the 68 body though. I will have to go back to it to correct it. In all not much work involved. The vinyl top on the 69 kit looks really good. Kudos to Revell.
  21. absolutely beautiful in this color. The bed is also really good looking. The wheels fit it pretty good IMO . great work , I really enjoy looking at your builds Mike.
  22. All three are great , the cobra though is my favorite, I will have to build one eventually. So much plastic, so little time. the Nova engine bay is packed with nice details.
  23. I wanted to build this kit since I saw the movie in 1977 as a double feature with Airport 77. Fun thing is I thought that Duel which was supposed to be the B movie was way better than Airport 77 but I guess it is a matter of opinion. I waited years for AMT or Revell to come up with the truck or the valiant. Fast forward to 2015, I saw a YouTube video showing a build done from the AMT California hauler and the Lindberg dodge tanker. So I decided to do exactly that. Took me about 4 months to research and build the truck while trying to do the valiant at the same time. I plan to re visit the valiant as it not as good as I wanted, being too absorb by the truck. So, here it is, my favorite piece of my whole collection, I tried to reproduce as much as I could the real thing. Note that the hero truck is reportedly a tag axle, mine is not but the second truck they used for the extended shots for the movie version is supposed to have double axles. Not sure if it’s true but the truck you see has elements of both trucks. Not 100 % accurate but anyone who has seen the movie will recognize it. The last photo shows how it is set up, Simple but effective. And if you made it so far, thanks for looking
  24. Built from the excellent Revell kit, I saw that movie when it came out in 68 , I was 11 years old and just fell in love with the charger. Bullitt did to car chases what star wars did to sci fi. built box stock except for the wheels I used the dodge hub caps from Fireball Modelworks. The movie car had the 440 but I used the hemi instead. I also did the mustang and the magic green beetle that keeps re-appearing during the chase . I will post them eventually. Thanks to all of you who take the time to look and comment. Really appreciated.
  25. Super beautiful, especially in the natural light. Great build and nicely photographed. The yellow really does it justice.
