    the taillights look about right but they are clear. I may need to replace them with some red ones.

    Well I gave it the soak in the simple green. I forgot that that would take the chrome off but no big deal. I have all the replacement chrome I need from the Revell kits. I did the overnight freezer trick . the lack of paint made it a little tricky but a little patience paid off and I didn't have to resort to the fancy blades. Just a few simple tools in my stash. Just need to do a little more cleaning up the body and interior are apart but I put them back for the mock up shots.

    My Jimmy Glue bomb came early. I checked and everything is there. Now I think I'll start by soaking it in simple green and water overnight and go from there.

    I've often seen these and never really thought about what they were for. I'm hoping whoever built this used the chepo tube glue. The no paint helps a little and I have plenty of extra suspension parts from the Revell kits. That big game truck comes with a Sidewinder looking winch with skid plate.

    Made this drive many a time back in my surfing days. We used to camp on the sound side, then the beach then finally we would rent out a house for the week with like 12 people. We would all bring our girlfriends and they would just lay on the beach all day. When you get a west wind off the sound, the place would turn into a mosquito extravaganza. ?

    Beautiful work! Sometimes I think the saying "They don't make em' like that anymore" was invented for this car. ?

    I always loved this cover of Lucifer Sam by Love and Rockets. We used to play it in practice with a few of the bands I used to be in. Everybody would seem to lock in right away.

    Pretty sure that steering wheel is a Hickey item as well as the tire/gas can rack, the fender extensions, 5 slots and what's left of the brush guard.
