My good friends were in a band on the same label as Steve Earle and they opened for him and the Dukes for over a year in Europe and North America around 2002 (I think it was). They still keep in touch with him today. That guy has some stories.

I never hunted Turkey but I hear they are really smart. I remember like last year I saw a story on the local news from a neighborhood in South Jersey where there was like 8 of them terrorizing the neighborhood. People would get out of their cars and they would be attacked before they could get in the house. ?

Pretty much everything you see in the other music threads. When I was growing up I had a special room in the basement. The other half of the room was for my dads ham radio hobby. In the basement, all we had was radio. The record player (remember them) was all the way upstairs. I can remember listening to a lot of Dire Straits, Pink Floyd, Bowie, Moody Blues, all great bands but they would always play the top 40 type stuff. Once in a while Cream or somebody real cool would come on but you had to get through all the fluff first.

Just found out about his passing. Frontman of Procal Harum On the 19th. How did this get passed me. Huge fan for years. Sad. Whiter Shade of Pale and Conquistador were phenomenal songs but Salty dog always got me. He paints quite a picture with these lyrics.
