  1. I did have a Rupp at one time. Don't think they made anything like this. If this contraption was around today, it would NEVER pass any safety standards. If the company that made this went under because of too many lawsuits, I wouldn't be surprised one bit.
  2. Another favorite from Later With Jools Holand,
  3. Special AKA - In the Studio.
  4. Rusty Cage - Johnny Cash. Soundgarden cover.
  5. Hello Jeff. Is there any way to contact this Greg Wann. Is he still selling the Formula parts? Thanks .

Hi Mike. I’m not sure how to contact him directly. I mastered the formula parts for him. But my contact with him was through a member on here George Bojaciuk. His email is gbosaciuk@comcast.net. He’s a really good guy. Give him a try he should be able to help get Gregg’s contact for you.

My message was unable to be sent. He came back as "Not a customer"

  6. I went on google and found a picture of a similar one.
  7. I can't recall a car or truck, but somebody brought this horrible trike that was really low and had a fork that was raked way out. It had a 2-cylinder snowmobile engine on it, centrifugal clutch and the tow brakes were supposed to aid in steering (they were both worthless). It was like one of those contraptions you could order from the back of popular mechanics back in the 60s. One day somebody got it running and my cousin talked me into a test run. The throttle stuck wide open, and the thing almost killed me. I had to bail off and I had a knobby tire track across my back. Then we all watched it ghost ride up the long driveway, hit a pile of old telephone poles, and flip upside down in mid-air and land upside down. After that everybody started calling it the trike of death. A few years later, that same cousin convinced me that he worked out all the bugs and it was safe now and again talked me into another test run. You would think I would have learned my lesson. Thing almost killed me a 2nd time. Luckily, we can all laugh about it today. Don't know what ever became of that God awful thing.
  8. I just saw one on American bickers that looked like the one I had. It said Enduro on the tank. Had the lace up wheels. Didn't have the Tecumseh engine but that more elaborate one. I'm pretty sure mine had the same but it was yellow and black. Looked kind of like this one only the frame, fork and swingarm were all black
  9. Long way from painting thre main body, but shot the undercarriage with my recipie for the GM red oxide they used th do the F body's of this era with. The only redish primers see way too brown, so I found this sort of satin VHT in a red enough looking color. I spray the brown underneath it to darken it a little.
  10. For me, this car needs to be a 4 speed. I have a Muncie from the '68 Camaro parts I'll graft onto the 400 bell housing. These dollar store clothespins work nicely for modeling stuff.
  11. Always been a big fan of the '70 Formula 400. A ram air car is a huge bonus. Fun fact, although ram air 4 was avaliable on the Formula for '70, none were ever built. Only RA llls . All the RA IVs went to the T/As. Can't remember the number off hand.
  12. So many great live musical performances took place in the studio where they used to shoot Later With Jools. I really missed catching that show. I can't remember which network I used to watch it on here in the states, but it was originally a BBC show. There would always be a cool mix of bands on every episode. one great on that comes to mind is this one from Spiritualized.
  13. Pogues - Hells Ditch.
  14. Humble Pie - Honky Tonk Women. Stones cover. Thy never made another Steve Marriott. Guy is sorely missed.
  15. Jesus and Mary Chain - Taste of Cindy. Electric and acoustic version.
  16. Oh man! I'd love to get my hands on that middle one. Love that Ram Air, air cleaner with under hood pan. I plan to keep tha front spoiler and wheelwell stuff so I wouldn't need th rest. How can I contact this Greg Wann ?
  17. Thanks Jim. A customer could get most parts over the counter at the dealers back then. The hood tach was another item. Most of the time the dealership would even install the parts for you. Many people did this with the rear spoiler also, but I always felt that the Firebird looked right with no spoiler, so that's the way I'm going on this one. Taking a few "day 2" liberties with the engine turned instrument panel and a few things here and there.
  18. Man Jeff. That's some impressive work. I just bought a pack sheet styrene that I haven't even opened yet. I guess I'll be putting that to use. The GMC truck air cleaner looks a little small I I'm sure I have something else in all my parts bins that would be more fitting. For me it's gotta have the ram air setup. I'm toying with the idea if a 4-speed conversion. I have a Muncie from the 68 Camaro parts car. Gotta look at how difficult it would be topside would be with that shift boot well in the console.
  19. That Gold really is stunning. Nice looking interior work. Coming along great.
  20. For decades, I assumed that the Chevy engine orange was the same as Hugger orange. Apparently, I was wrong about this.
  21. I think that contact link is more of a comment type of thing. Maybe I'm wrong. Anyway, I'm really not expecting any kind of response. If I get a thanks for your suggestion type of thing, I'd be surprised.
  22. Sorry if I highjacked the thread, but I love talking old motorcycle days. ?️
  23. My pre Rupp days. The bottom when I finally grew into my dad's bike and started to destroy that Yamaha.
