  1. Hmmm, perhaps the correct tires will be included, especially if they are shared with the Gurney Lotus car, too?:
  2. Note that is says "select stores", not all stores. My local Meijer stores haven't stocked any models for a few years, and when they did, it was only during the holiday season. I recall the 1/24 Monogram Mazda RX-7 was one of the available kits then. I would imagine stores closer to Round2's location in South Bend, IN stand a better chance of stocking them.
  3. New Round2 releases for 2022 recently posted by GRA Distrubution: AMT 1247 -- Ford C-600 Gar Wood Load Packer Garbage Truck AMT 1326 -- Ford C-600 U.S. Mail Truck with USPS Trailer
  4. Looks like some Meijer stores will be getting the special pallet of select kits from Round2: https://www.round2corp.com/model-kit-quarter-pallets-available-soon-at-meijer/
  5. I really can't say, but if the insert for the turbine engine is around, it seems likely it would be reissued eventually. Easy way for Round2 to have a new release. I would suggest you contact Round2 and ask: E-mail: info@round2corp.com
  6. I think this topic served as a comparison for the various AMT full sized '65 Pontiacs-- 2+2, Grand Prix, etc.:
  7. I would say just the opposite. A sports car with an instantly recognizable name, no glue nor paint required, the Hot Wheels brand attached...sounds like exactly what a first time builder would buy. I think buyers/builders with limited experience are less discerning than seasoned builders, and less choosy regarding subject matter.
  8. Try here:
  9. I think so. It makes sense, given how similar the cars all all. A few different decal sheets and you've got multiple new releases. Hopefully the Turbosonic version will be reissued, too. Copperhead instructions here: https://modelkitreviews.proboards.com/thread/1212/copperhead-rear-engine-fuel-dragster Turbosonic instructions here: https://modelkitreviews.proboards.com/thread/1437/amt-172-turbosonic-dragster Great box art: The AMT kit is the hardtop bodystyle, too, so while not a modern era kit, it does have quite a bit of nostalgia going for it, as Dave V mentioned above. This box art would be most welcome:
  10. Thanks, Luc, I forgot about those parts. "Classic" is a bit vague, but they could include any and all recently created police-specific parts to cover multiple decades.
  11. The newly tooled light bar and flasher bases included with the reissued AMT '70 Impala Fire Chief, I would presume. Cant recall if those parts were included with the 007 reissue of the '70 Ford Police Car, too, or not.
  12. 1/25 MPC #962 - 1971 Chevy Monte Carlo Super Stocker
  13. Just saw this posted via GRA Distrubution: AMT 1236 -- 1968 Chevy Corvette Custom AMT 1282 -- Copperhead Rear-Engine Dragster AMT 1288 -- Dan Gurney Lotus Racer AMT 1293 -- '65 Chevy II Nova AWB "Twister" AMT 1298 -- Hot Wheels 1996 Ford Mustang GT - SNAP AMT PP032 -- Classic Emergency Flasher Parts Pack MPC 937 -- Wacky Races Turbo Terrific - SNAP MPC 962 -- 1971 Chevy Monte Carlo Super Stocker
  14. Revell River Rat Chevy Luv & Boat/Trailer. See here: https://modelkitreviews.proboards.com/thread/1455/revell-1382-river-chevy-pickup
  15. Fortunately, Round2 seems to have pitched that mold in the bin, and those'll never be seen again. I think the ex-MPC BFG T/As could be made somewhat respectable if the tread elements and sidewall lettering were thinned a bit, as the font seems to be correct, just too pronounced.
  16. Considering the Powell pickup used used (yes, you read that correctly) '41 Plymouth frames and drivetrains, the 1/25 AMT '41 Plymouth's pieces should get you 95% of the way there: https://www.makesthatdidntmakeit.com/powell If you want very different, how about SJS Details Nash Wrecker?: https://www.ebay.com/itm/224613629612?hash=item344c03feac:g:XEcAAOSwr29hROFL
  17. Nobody posted any comment saying anything like that. Alan was talking about the BFG tires, period: He said nothing about any other parts of the kit, the kit as a whole, etc.. Same with me. I agreed the BFG tires are not realistic, too chunky in the details, etc. I said nothing about the kit as a whole.
  18. Allan never said nor implied the BFGs were the only tire option in this kit. only that he didn't care for them, and they aren't all that great, which, I think many of us would agree with.
  19. There are two sizes of the MPC BFGs. The smaller of the two are closer to 13" in 1/25 scale, and I think the larger variety is somewhere in between 14" and 15" in 1/25 scale. I am assuming the larger variety will be include with this land barge. ?
  20. Looks like the 1/25 AMT 1965 Pontiac Bonneville Sport Coupe kit is getting close(ish) to being available at the retail level, so check out Chris' video review below in the meantime. I noticed the ex-MPC BFG Radial T/A tires with the slightly oversized/chunky tread blocks are back, too. I think this is the first kit in which Round2 has included them? Instruction sheet from '60s release for comparison: https://modelkitreviews.proboards.com/thread/1259/amt-1965-pontiac-bonneville-hardtop
  21. Looks like this one should be out and available within the next month or so: https://www.autoworldstore.com/products/pre-order-amt-1964-olds-cutlass-442-hardtop-1-25-scale-model-kit-due-october-2021?_pos=3&_sid=20fffcf5c&_ss=r
  22. No, nothing shared between the AMT Buick Special Wagon and Chevy II Nova 400 Wagon, and the JO-HAN '61 Olds F-85 Wagon. There's very, very little shared between the AMT Buick and Chevy, either, other than accessory parts not related to the vehicles themselves and the tires.
