The Edelbrock Six Pack manifold (which, IIRC, is correct for '69, but I thought Chrysler produced it's own intake manifold for 1970, rather than again use and Edlebrock part) has an integrally molded valley pan, whereas the Revell '68/'69 Charger has a separate valley pan and single 4-bbl intake manifold. I would just add a thin strip of plastic to one end, and file it down until it fits the way you like it to.

I can't tell which kit the pictured engine is from, so I'm assuming the AMT '70 Dodge Coronet Super Bee kit? The 440 in the Revell '68 & '69 Charger kits is a nice engine with a separate valley pan, so I can test fit the AMT '70 SB's Six Pack intake on the Revell engine and report back with a pic, too, if that'll help. I can't think of any other 1/25th scale Six Pack intake manifolds besides the one in the AMT '70 SB kit.

What's a good source for....
Casey replied to Ben's topic in General Automotive Talk (Trucks and Cars)
I always liked the 351 (can't recall if it's a W or C) in the Revell Pro Street T-bird and Lincoln LSC kits, and they include a nice set of semi-shorty headers and Ford Motorsport valve covers. -
I think what Gabe is asking is if The Modelhuas has any or all of the kits is sells in stock and ready to be shipped. That, I can't answer, but I'm sure if you call them they could tell you.

wondering about the brand Alumlite ???
Casey replied to Blake Rogers's topic in Car Aftermarket / Resin / 3D Printed
www.alumilite.com Also check out http://www.smooth-on.com/ , too. For your first time casting, I suggest you use one of the Alumilite starter kits and use a one-part mold, as they are much easier than two-part molds. The resin included with the Alumilite starter kit sets up very quickly, so be aware that you may only have one minute after the resin is mixed until it starts to firm up...which is why the slower-setting resins may be a better choice for a first-timer. I have started casting again after a decade layoff, and while I don't consider myself an expert by any means, I get good results with good planning and using one-part molds whenever possible. Resin-casting can be very frustrating at times, but also extremely satisfying when things go right. It can also be semi-expensive, as you'll probably invest $100.00 or so just to get started and you will have short shots, air bubbles, and parts that just aren't good enough. Don't get discouraged if you don't get perfect parts on the first few pours, as with practice you'll get better and so will your parts. Out of curiosity, what are you planning to cast? -
How about starting something new on here.

We already missed 225 (Chrysler Slant Six), 302 (both Chevy and Ford), 305, 307 (both Chevy/GM), so at least we have 327 (Chevy and AMC), 331 (early Chrysler Hemi) coming up. -

It looks like the annodizing on the headlight bezels has deteriorated, and the camera's flash makes them look white when illuminated. It's hard to see what the upholstery looks like, but I second George's suggestion of Scale Motorsport if it's plaid. That car is missing the headrests, though. It's hard to see the wheels in shadow when everything's black, too.

Can you post a pic of the 1:1 scoop you're looking for? There are many different varieties of snorkel-style hood scoops. FWIW, Dencon Resins makes a snorkel scoop.

Large Scale Participation at Model Car Shows
Casey replied to arick's topic in General Automotive Talk (Trucks and Cars)
If you're buying a $250-$400 Pocher or Tamiya big scale kit and comparing that to a standard 1/25 Revell kit, then yes, you'll have a much big investment up front, but is that really a fair comparison? Instead compare Revell's new 1/25 '57 Bel Air kit at $30.00 to their 1/12 '57 Bel Air kit at $60.00, and that's only twice (rather than 4-5 times) as much, which isn't a huge jump. Yes, you will use more supplies, but build 2-4 bi-scale kits and you'll use the same amount of supplies. Plus, as mentioned above, the big scale kit will take longer to build, so you could build (and spend the money on) 2-4 bi-scale kits in the same time period. I think it's a wash if you compare apples to apples. -

I might be more inclined to buy the money excuse, but how many people who only build 1/25th scale stuff have only one or two models in their stash and spend only $20 on each kit total? Not too many I bet. Add up the cost of a few bi-scale kits, paint for them, any aftermarket detailing items, and you have $90.00 to buy a 1/8 Revell Big Tub. $50 buys the Revell 1/16 '34 Ford 3-window coupe shipped to your door. 1/16th scale stuff is all over eBay, and most it is not much more than one or two bi-scale kits ($20-$30) would cost. -

Headers for 427 Revell 67 Vette
Casey replied to Len Woodruff's topic in General Automotive Talk (Trucks and Cars)
If you're up for trading for and trying the BBC headers from the Revell Yenko '69 Camaro kit, LMK. Member "oldscool" has some pics of them in his Yenko build thread here: http://www.modelcarsmag.com/forums/index.php?showtopic=28750 -
The Ram Air tubes from the MPC/Ertl '60 Olds 442 kit would work well, since they are already ribbed and close to the same diameter (maybe 1/2" too large), but they are pre-molded, so you'd need to carefully heat and bend as needed.
