The Mopar drag teams during the 60's had some of the best looking cars out there and you certainly did this one justice.

Working on something cool
Shark replied to Dragline's topic in WIP: Stock Cars (NASCAR, Super Stock, Late Model, etc.)
I've built a few of the Revell/Monogram Craftsman Truck kits and thought they were excellent. Straight out of the box they have a great stance and go together well. Look forward to seeing your finished work. -
What are you drilling? I only ever use a small hand held pin vise and at times just twirl the drill bit with my fingers.

Another AFX car?, Oh why not. The Paper Tiger Plymouth

As for the Mustang AFX, MCW made one awhile back that was a nice complete kit. If enough people contact them, they may make some new molds. -
That looks pretty neat.

Bud Moore Cougar
Shark replied to 65slotcar's topic in WIP: Stock Cars (NASCAR, Super Stock, Late Model, etc.)
Bud Moore the car owner also fielded Mustangs very successfully in this series. Gave him an advantage in Nascar with the knowledge he gained running small block engines. -
Back when those cars were new, the dealers and even the factory would get you what you want, so either wheel may be correct.

What are you thinning the paint with?

I don't think it was on the car too long. -

The round decal on the rear quarter I believe was something to do with USA race team. You might try googling that. -

Just looked at Harts Parts site and he has several Challenger flat hoods for AMT and Revell. -
Looks real, except for that hand in one picture.

Didn't watch it, the still shot was enough to turn me off. -

Harts Parts has a lot of Mopar pieces in resin. Very good to deal with. -

I've seen that picture also, have it on a flash drive somewhere. I started that car before the kits came out using the MCW resin parts. I painted that engine orange. Have you seen the pictures of the sedan with just the back wheels moved forward? -

I believe early in '65 their engines may have been hemi orange. But later in the year they were painted Ford blue. They were selling engines to other teams in different categories and levels and Jake wanted to be able to tell if it was one of his at a glance. -

The way you are cranking them out, do both the carbureted steel wheel car and the injected later version. -
When I mentioned in a previous reply that it left me shaking my head, I wasn't referring to the bodies, I kinda liked them. I had issues with the roll bar that looks like it's 4" scale diameter, the driver seat that looks like it should be for a baby, and a frame that doesn't touch the body anywhere.

1988 Ricky Rudd Quaker State Buick
Shark replied to Ben269's topic in WIP: Stock Cars (NASCAR, Super Stock, Late Model, etc.)
If you are going to do the Rudd car, Mike's Decals has the Powerslide sheet for that car, and I noticed it's on sale at the moment.
