Making Tracks
BK9300 replied to Chariots of Fire's topic in WIP: Model Trucks: Big Rigs and Heavy Equipment
Amazingly fine resolution in the printing of this kit -
I agree - all the detail is incredible - didn't realize wire existed in diameters that small! The engine compartment sure looks real.

So much skill (and patience) in your work - just amazing to watch!

Looks great on the trailer - must be tough to coax something like that onto the trailer 'slowly"!

Starting posting on the forum in August, but have been through a few of your builds prior to that. As everyone else has noted, your work is incredible, to say the least, and very inspirational. Your attention to your father and neighbours is something to aspire to as well! -

Great looking truck - look forward to seeing it paired with your trailer! -
Thanks for all the info, Charles - I've got lots to learn about making decals.

Quite an achievement to have it all printed from your own design! -

The fenders look good, Jurgen - maybe they need to be just a little bit longer to sit lower? -
I’ve never made decals before, but have had to make images smaller for various reasons, to use in documents, sometimes losing a degree of resolution. How have you been able to maintain the readability as you’ve reduced images you want to use as decals?

Great looking panel Chevy, John - like the BF Goodrich T/A tires, too! -
Makes sense to start with the best quality file - might have to invest in a good graphics software program

Massive looking truck - look forward to your build -
Sure can appreciate all the detail work you do - all the rivets, and no glue marks of any kind, the polished finish and then there's the battery sticking out from the bottom of the interior. . .

Beautiful colours - I like the photo of the rear of the truck, where the bumper is reflecting sunlight to the top of the tail gate! -

Nice build! (I'd hate to be the person that had to clean all the rubber bits of the rear, side panels after a day at the strip!) -

Great build - I like the blacked fuel tank, steps, mud flap hangers and air cleaner - a distinctive look! -
A very visual story line! And a great car, too.
