  1. Thanks, I can’t wait to see yours when you get it done
  2. Yea Rex I’m hoping hobby lobby will carry them so I can save 40% as I could easily build a 1/2 a dozen or more
  3. This is mostly box stock with the addition of amt m&h slicks the steel wheels are from the 67 comet, the Weber carbs are from the 63 corvette. I made the headers from solder and aluminum tubing. It’s easy to do and they look great. The paint is tamyia black topped with testors wet look clear. The decals are made by smp. As always thanks for looking ?, Mike
  4. I built this one by starting out with the amt 1966 hemi under glass kit . the chassis and rear suspension was pulled from the revell miss deal kit. I robbed the hemi and the torque flight trans from revell’s hemi dart the injector stacks are made from aluminum tubing. The front axle and leaf springs are from the hemi under glass. I sourced the wheels from the amt 1970 Z-28 Camaro. The front tires are amt Firestone supremes the slicks are the fantastic amt Goodyear blue streaks I made the roll bar from .80 styrene rod. The headers are made from solder and aluminum tubing. Body mods were moving the front wheel wells forward. The gauge cluster box came from amt’s 1968 Shelby kit. The decals came from a eBay seller and are printed with a blue background I did my best to match the shades of blue. I used tamyia paint, but I can’t remember the exact color. I’m really pleased with how this looks just the right stance , and injector high. As always thanks for looking ?, Mike
  5. Looks great just like the box art. I use meguiars quik wax spray on with a microfiber towel for the exterior, and a can of compressed air like the kind you would use for a computer keyboard. I hope this helps you out.
  6. Amt’s 1955 Chevy sedan the deep chrome reverse wheels are from the amt jimmy kit. The front wheels are from my parts box . I used the kit headers but added aluminum tubing extensions . The hood scoop is a leftover part from the amt 63 impala. The paint is testors orange enamel topped with wet look clear decals are from Chris Walsh the glory years decals and graphics. If you have never used them check them out they are very high quality. Thanks for looking ?, Mike
  7. It looks sweet I like that metallic orange paint
  8. That’s a really nice jr dragster one of amt’s great kits
  9. It sits just right nice color combo
  10. Great job on the red white and blue it looks just right
  11. Looks great I really like the shaved rockers and bobbed fenders. You really captured that late 1966-67 gasser era before the mustangs , and all the other alternative body types became popular.
  12. That’s a really great job I like the way you closed off and smoothed out the grill and head light opening’s . Gas had some of the most beautiful looking mustangs . I displayed my amt & polar lights Gas Ronda stang’s together in building the covers vol# 28 you can really see the difference. I really like the exaggerated long front end of the amt kit . Let’s hope they make a 3-D scan for a reissue along with the 69 cougar funny car. So that everyone has a chance to build one. 2 ?for building a rare kit instead of hoarding it. Again a job well done.
  13. Yea it’s great. I get that rekindling many times a day
  14. The 60’s had to be a great time to be a car enthusiast. Thanks for the good words.
  15. Thank you. My dad was a incredible artist. It just came naturally to him.
  16. I agree I have about a dozen or so that will be parked on my shelf forever
  17. Cool looking paint and lettering. You really captured that late 60’s vibe.
  18. Great photography this came out really nice. The revell funny cars are some of the best. They really build up well.
  19. Yea I hope it can get passed down and preserved. Unfortunately the younger generations aren’t modelers or have the appreciation for them . There’s less and less drag strips or dirt tracks for them to cut their teeth on these days. On the east coast here who would have ever thought of not seeing a drag race at Englishtown or the nigh of thrills at Atco. I’m feeling like the hobbies that we started when we were kids are turning into old man hobbies.
  20. This is a true survivor that’s been handed down from my dad he built this in 1967 at age 19 . This is what got me into modeling as I starred at this car on the shelf for hours. He was smart not to trust it in my possession until I was 14 . Today would have been his 75th birthday. He built this beautiful gasser right from the amt box. All I do is dust it off every so often , and admire it for inspiration. Thanks dad .As always thanks for looking ?, Mike
  21. It looks like the pro charger just fits nicely done
  22. I built this from the mpc hot rod mustang funny car kit. Right out of the box with the addition of a wheel swap from the amt double dragster, and decals sourced from the very talented chuck Boener. As always thanks for looking ?, Mike
  23. Looks great nice clean work
  24. Man that looks amazing the orange air brushing around the grill and front fenders really make it pop
