Sweet a/fxer neat lettering. Good use of the color me gone kit. I really like it ?

The johan 1964 dodge candystick is a 32 year old build from when you could buy one at your local hobby shop. I added switched the chrome reversed wheels out for the plain steel rims from the amt 62 belair super stock kit which worked out great as at the time I was building the north wind car. The rest is out of the box. The decals I used at the time were Fred cady the paint is krylon white topped with testors gloss coat. The candymatic sedan is the great lindburg kit that builds up great right from the box. Thanks for looking ? .Mike

I altered the wheel base by moving the rear wheel wells forward and making patch panels, and add front leaf springs from amt’s jimmy kit with a piece of aluminum rod for the axle. The back wheels are Americans from my parts box , and the injection manifold parts came from one of the best parts kits ever made the amt double dragster. The injector stacks are made from aluminum tubing , and the neat fender well headers came by the way of another great amt parts kit the amt 1963 corvette. I made the header collectors from aluminum tubing rounding out the fuel system is the grill mounted moon tank also in the double dragster. The shade of pink is by krylon the decals were sourced from a eBay seller that goes by thersawolf. The actual car had a much lower front stance and I believe the front wheels were moved forward with lengthened fenders. It also had longer full length headers. I just felt like using my artistic liberties to make it look more radical. It had to be a wild and raw mid 60’s ride. This is one of these builds that photographs from all angles. Thanks for looking ? and I hope you enjoy, this one was really fun to build, Mike

The Vicky is one of my all time favorites . I really like the filpped over headers and the use of the 37 Chevy headlights. Nice stance with the front leaf springs holding up the straight axle, and a nice choice of color a good contrast with the light blue tint windows . Fine work my friend

Nice clean build of this great kit I like your addition of the frame connectors , wheelie bars , and the lowered stance

That’s a really nice rail job. You captured that late 60’s essence it’s a shame the boss 9 never worked out in the fuel cars.

I got this model as a started resin kit from a on line sale. So I don’t know the origin of it, but it is a very nice casting. I used the engine from revell’s hemi dart the injector stacks came with the resin kit. The crager s/s wheels are amt the windshield and back glass are polar lights 1965 dodge snap kit. The roll bar is made from 0.80 styrene rod Decals are by slixx. The 1965 awb dodge’s are my favorite drag cars of all time and I can’t wait for the new moebius kit mad always thanks for looking ?, mike

This is built from the amt kit with the following additions. Headers from the 1967 pro street chevelle, amt m&h slicks , and smp decals the name the tanker says it all these era impalas were behemoths. This was a nice easy build.

I built this from a combination of a old glue bomb of a mpc 1969 mustang, and the latest issue of the mpc Malco gasser kit. The only parts saved from the old glue bomb are the body from the cowl back. The rest is the malco gasser kit . The decals are slixx. It seems like it wouldn’t be to difficult for round 2 to tool up a cowl back 1969 mustang body to better fit this front end. Of course they could really blow us away and tool up a twin turbocharged boss 429 , and some fold up store display’s .We can only hope they get to that level of cool. Thanks for looking ? and your comments. Mike

Great looking 55 nomad one of amt’s best kits. You did really nice work on all the small details brake lines , fuel lines , headers etc, and the injector stacks are just awesome. Again nice job ?

That’s a neat idea it would be cool to have some gasser gremlin decals for the doors. That big Ford wedge looks good in there with the engine set back

That’s good to hear I like try to inspire others, and promote growth in this great hobby of ours . These were set of slixx decals I applied back in 1995. This was also the first time I used micro sol and micro set which really made the flame decals settle down nicely. At the time testors candy grape was my only option nowadays you can find better purple options. Thanks for the nice complement. Mike

I really dig your choice of colors , and a fantastic job masking off those panels. These revell tri. Fives can be real fussy to build. Again great build thanks for sharing

Really nice dragster. This kit builds up nice

Theses are two of my favorites the polar lights and amt long nose mustangs built out of the box. Gas Ronda was ford blue till the end, and a true first class performer of drag racing. Both of these kits really captured the look of this historic funny car. It would be neat if amt could find the tooling for this one. Although the polar lights kit is a more accurate representation of this car. as always thanks for looking ? Mike

The blue car is a box stock build from circa 1990. As for the red cars I used the last issue of mongoose navy kit. This reissue is the best of the the revell duster body funny cars. With the main part of the chassis being one piece, better slicks, longer headers, and more. I cut down the roll cage on these to make the body sit lower on the chassis. I also moved the engine a little forward on both cars. The decals on the version with the black sides came from chuck boener. The red paint is testors Italian red lacquer on both. Thanks for looking ?. mike.

I love that color thanks for showing how well these old johan kits look detailed. Despite their simplified chassis they had the sharpest body’s and engines
-
That’s the nicest looking grill and tail light panel I have ever seen on a 62 bel air. With the fade paint it reminds it looks like a Gene Winfield custom. Great job

This all started with a stock revell kit with added dual quad intake manifold and carbs from amt’s parts pack, parts box slicks, and scratch built headers. Aftermarket decals were from Lucas I think they are still available from SMP. The pale yellow color is a discontinued testors color. Thanks for looking ?. Mike

This Vega funny car was built from the revell jungle Jim kit with a wheel and tire swap from the mpc hot rod Mustang f/c back wheels, and the front wheels can be found in any polar lights funny car kit. The shorter and wider mpc slicks make a big difference in the stance. I used tamyia mica red and decals from the amazing chuck boener

This is a box stock revell kit decals are from decals by Lucas which I believe is no longer available ☹️. The rear wheels are from my parts box. These Mustangs look great from all angles, and are a really easy build I especially like the 3/4 rear view. thanks for looking ?. Mike

What a great cover shot. I used the awesome mpc blue max funny car kit with the addition of 427 sohc parts from the polar lights mustang f/c kit. I had a hard time picking out the right shade of blue as it depends on the reference photos you look at . I finally decided on a tamyia dark metallic blue, and decals from the great chuck boener. He has quite a few decal sheets available that fit this body. If you’re not familiar I’d suggest you check’ ‘‘em out. thanks for looking ?. , Mike
