    ELDO-LICIOUS

The design is awesome, the fabrication awesome. But that paintwork! It's like a root beer and maple syrup float just dripping off the panels. So gorgeous!
  2. I am in awe of you! The skill level is amazing, the workmanship is wonderful, but the PATIENCE to lay down forty yards of tiny tape is beyond my comprehension!
  3. YOUR build should have been the one on the box! Super sweet colors and style. Thanks for posting!
  4. I'm glad you took the outdoor shots, the paint really pops in the sun! Gorgeous 70's styling! Thanks for posting
  5. Absolutely beautiful Dan! Thanks for sharing
  6. I've taken to using Mr. Super Clear Matt Finishing Spray whenever I want to knock the sheen off of a paint job. It works perfect for interiors.
  7. Super nice baby Corvette Michelle! BTW, one of my more favorite glues is the bsi Super-Gold because it doesn't fume like most cyanoacrylates, and thus is better around paint and clear plastic parts where it comes to the fumes damaging them.
  8. Sweet! Is that the stock stance, or did you change it? It looks great
  9. What a sexy beast! Doggone it, now I gotta get me one of those kits too
  10. What a great model, great color choices, and fantastic story to go along with it!
  11. That came out awesome! Dodge should actually have built this woodie. All it needs is a surfboard on top and it's ready for the beach
  12. Both are cool, but I favor the boldness of the left panel!
  13. MIchelle - I LOVE the models you put together! Your wild concepts are so cool! I'm always looking forward to the next one
  14. Ray - Totally looking forward to your observations as you do this build! Sad to hear you've tired of the hobby, but do check back in from time to time
  15. Daniel, I am amazed by your skills and ingenuity! That mockup is so stunning that it will almost be a shame to see paint on it
  16. I LOVE the patina. The whole vehicle looks like a well-worn comfy leather chair you just fall into!
  17. Patrick, after going through this thread, I can answer your question "Anybody else also a fan of Juha Airio?" by stating, "I am now!" Thank you for posting
  18. Ah, yes. An homage to Ken Imhoff - the man who built a stunning charcoal grey Countach from scratch in his basement over a 17 year period... and then had to figure out a way to get it out!
  19. Wicked cool, Martin! And I'm with you; if I'm looking for a stock version of a car, I prefer to just buy it in diecast (if available). I try to reserve my model building for the ability to try out new ideas, or to build a car otherwise not available. I saw a few of these lowrider creations at last year's SEMA, and the engraving was my favorite part. You haven't lived till you've seen an alternator done up like a piece of jewelry!
  20. I love the body just the way it is in sanded out primer!
  21. Such a beauty! It's so interesting that one can look at a 1:1 custom car build and approximate the period in which it was built by the techniques, paints, design cues, etc. from that period. And here, we can see the same thing in a scale model as well. Thank you for posting!
  22. What an unbelievable creation! And to think, there are at least three parts on there from an Impala
  23. I am totally with Martin on this one! Cannot wait to see what you do with colors!
  24. Makes me wish I were a 1:12 scale person just so I could enjoy your Countach all the more! BTW, have you picked a body color yet? Not trying to suggest anything, but I still have my Alpine Countach poster from 1980!...
  25. Totally digging it. Thank you for posting!
