I’ll have to admit that this build is very cool and I have been thinking about building something similar but not a your level. I have this T600 KW kit, shorten the wheelbase, single air ride rear axle, use a set a Moebius fat singles, do a day cab (easy to do on this kit), swipe the roll bar kit from a pro-street kit, add a front air dam to the bumper and slam it on the ground and maybe a twin turbo engine. And…..and…….and. I just can’t stop thinking of ideas. -

Some real potential there -
First time entering this challenge and it usually takes me over a year to build a project like this and starting a month late but we will see how it goes. Could end up with egg on my face. Just finished the mock-up of a Kenworth Express Delivery truck. Wanted a more modern looking rig and I have three T600A KW kits to choose from. The frame will need to be lengthened in front of the drive axles and extended at the rear for the air lift tag axle. I have several different lift axle kits from Auslow and KFS. Will add the wider more heavy duty front wheel set from Moebius. I will add either longer fuel tanks on each side or build with four fuel tanks, two per side. The lower tank fairings will be lengthened to reach the forward most rear drive axle. The cab will not receive much modifications but the sleeper fairings will be shortened. I used the Big Rig Semi Trailer kit for mock-up because the trailer is molded in two halfs in its length. I will probably build the cargo box from Evergreen so that I can use real wood floor. The side walls I would like to be smooth on the outside following the aerodynamic theme of the truck. Maybe laminate the interior walls with balsa to replicate the plywood lined truck walls. No idea about paint, nothing is slapping me in the face, yet. And……this is where it starts.

This project started out to be an cab over truck (hot rod) with 50s style enclosed bed pulling a 50s style gasser on a trailer. Working on the CEO cab, I dropped it, hitting my workbench, then arm on my chair and then the floor. Breaking into three parts. Now what, I had the AMT 3100 model kit, what is the difference between a pickup and a two ton truck? To the internet. Interestingly I grew up on a farm and my grandfather had a dark green 1950 Chevy farm truck, the first truck I learned to drive at 12 years of age. What follows is what happened. Reshaped the front wheel openings and it fit the narrowed truck chassis. Front and rear axles where both narrowed from the AMT White-Freightliner. The bed and one-way hydraulic system was fabricated from Evergreen Polystyrene. Found an aftermarket wheelset from Scenes Unlimited for a more period correct wheelset. Still learning how to weather and this is my first attempt at light weathering. So this is my representative of a farm truck I grew up with.

Doing some research and found this forum, spent a couple hours digging around here. Yep, I wanna play here. Recently retired, built a ton of models when I was younger, then career and life got in the way. But now I am back at building mostly commercial vehicles in 1:25 scale. Couple projects I am working on, 1950 farm truck and Michigan Log Truck.
