  1. Seems to the contrary as he calls me out personally all the time, JollySipperman
  2. EDIT: Now let's have some clowns say it's not me who's doing the work (which I've heard more times than I can remember), or criticize and run their mouths about things they have absolutely no knowledge of, or rebleat the gibberish about my being uncomfortable with "technology" or something equally idiotic about me living in the past and not "keeping up with the times". C'mon bozos. Step right on up. Plese explain Billiiam Corning?
  3. So very beautiful, that it is restoration even moreso. Not an easy kit, made to look so wonderful. Thank you for sharing!
  4. Very beautiful diorama and car. I love the background. It looks like it is from a 1960s movie!
  5. I forget where or when (so long ago!) but I enjoyed this years later as a repeat showing cartoon. Very wonderfully imagined! Bravo!
  6. What a fun model to behold! As a youth I had a Hot Wheels car by that name which looked similar. While it did not look like anything familiar, it was a cherished toy. It was only later I learned about hot rods and fantasy cars. What a fun memory you bring. Very nice!
  7. You asked me to share what was funny. Your comments are quite humorous. I would have said nothing but you specifically asked. If you don't want an answer, I don't know why you would do that. What is "with me" is that I was responding to your request.
  8. Intersting to see who is so "snarky" now. That you for that. I had to look that term up. Seems you are "snarky" if people work in front of a computer or take meetings. I can see how this world of technology could IRK you so! It must be so hard to live in a time that has changed under your feet. That would IRK me too, except like most I decide to keep up with the times. Have a nice day. Hope that one day your life will not be such trial.
  9. A very nice replica utility vehicle. It looks ready to adventure.
  10. Beautiful build of car (maybe not always the M) that once seemed everywhere, and is now a rare occasion to see on the road.
  11. As sad as it is the car was ruined by accident, it looked it's best when it was here. May you find another someday.
  12. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=lvzFUySWXgc I just now run across this thread and recently saw this video on YouTube. I had never seen the spoilers factory installed like your car has, but it seems they were sold that way in the USA. I would assume those were put on at the port facilities when the vehicles were offloaded from Japan. In another time I worked with a company at a port facility that did nothing but installations like those. often up though the late 1980s unique trim models that only existed in a given country were merely vehicles that had a set of identical accessories added to a base car. I think the front spoiler especially suits the RX-7 shape. Lovely model of a lovely car.
  13. Very nice work. I always liked the "fantasy" racing versions so many Monogram kits had in this era to compliment the stock versions.
  14. While speculation is fun, one is a 2-kit box of models that both have stock versions in the box (and have post 1990-reissues for the Shelby kit) and the other is a 1990s era Ertl kit that builds stock. The original annual shown turned into one of those short-chassis cars they have reissued many times. I can not see either of these being the mentioned kit at all, though the 1969 Galaxie would be a welcome reissue especially if they tooled it up with the GT trim wheels and stripes. I am aware you need to remove molded-in trim but we are modelers, correct?
  15. Just when it felt safe to go back in the water! Very beautiful work.
  16. Very nice movie replica
  17. I will never forget with much surprise I read in a Road and Track American magazine bought at an airport to fill layover time that this car with windows installed and some basic duct tape and cover this or that modifications made about 240 miles per hour in a comparison to a Porsche 956 or 962 which was considerably less fast. To someone who never grew up seeing this type of car or racing it made a very large impression The model looks just as recall the cover of that magazine. Nicely completed.
  18. With all due honesty I had never noticed your posting (6000 or not) before you decided to engage me here. I don't know what kind of modeler or person you are. I had not even taken notice of you before. I am sure you are usually nice and welcoming to others.
  19. Thank you for your very kind not threat. I will take it in the spirit it was clearly intended. Notice that WIlliam said I accused him of "posting excessively." I merely pointed out how many times he posted in a day. It was his judgement that deemed that number excessive not mine. Perhaps he came to this opinion after some self reflection. People should read what is typed, not go into victim think because they look for offense at every turn. I have been accused of being hypocritical in comment above (I accused no person of anything but rather repeated what they said back to them or observed their actual deeds with zero judgement), and it is deemed an attack. I find this curious. You accuse others of what you do yourself, it seems if you are one of the golden goose posters here. If you look at that mere 27 post count, most are congratulations for work well done, or remembrance of kits built long ago. While I have been in this hobby off/on for many years, i enjoy the hobby publications when I can get them going back to Airfix Magazine, Tamiya, the old Scale Auto Enthusiast, Scale Auto Modeler (UK based). All were a great way to stay in touch with the hobby during long times of not being able to build for one reason or other. Expecting enthusiast magazines like this to be held to world class journalistic standards is foolish to me. Arguing about clevis and cotter pins? If a model is detailed to that level, why not celebrate the craftsmanship that even allows that foolish discussion instead of having it. You may be right in an ironic sense. I am seeing here the forum is dominated by people who want to argue and nit-pick grammar but bristle when held to the same standard. Other than the people who use this forum as a platform to complain about how things were better years ago when the world fit them better, the model discussion takes a second chair. The same for being shown they are doing the same things to others they shout out and accuse wrongdoing that is made up by their paranoia and feeling of a closing-in world. It is really not that bad, I have to trust, that people do not need to bring the bunker mentality that is shown here so much.
  20. I find this very creative and fun! I love the cooler for refreshments during the drive. I am not convinced those tyres are road legal however!
  21. I seem to recall in the 1980s there was an American television show that involved either park rangers or California police that had a Bronco like this in it. I recall it my have starred Mark Harmon from the NCIS show of today. Is this an accurate memory? If so that could be a fun project if decals could be found or made.
  22. First, you clearly didn't read one of my earlier posts which discussed my models and tools are in storage after a series of moves. My apology for not meeting your expectation (demand?) about posting model content to the Ace-Garageguy standards. I must have missed those in the forum rules. I am curious, do you own this site? Did they appoint you the rules enforcer to tell everyone what they can/cannot say? If so that should be stated in the forum general information section, but I do not see that fact. Speaking of: The whole reason I looked at your posts and could easily count the number you had that day was curiosity if you ever built anything. Seems if you care to cast stones it should apply more than equally to you. Maybe you finished a model once, but if so it was hundreds and hundreds of posts back. Seems like there is so much that "irked" you it takes up all your time. Good day. I'm sure by now something has angered you about today's society, technology, or something you will need to share here, as you say, on a site primarily about model cars for most people but not for the easily "irked."
  23. " I can excuse in-accuracies," I missed the hyphen again. Is this a USA thing? I cannot find it anywhere. inaccuracy (redirected from inaccuracies)Also found in: Thesaurus, Medical. in·ac·cu·ra·cy (ĭn-ăk′yər-ə-sē) n. pl. in·ac·cu·ra·cies 1. The quality or condition of being inaccurate. 2. An instance of being inaccurate; an error.
  24. Billiam Corning: I typically don't post 9 times/day (that was you today total) much less belong to a club. The world of model car building is not exactly a raging cauldron of activity here in Europe. It seems people have much more leisure time in Georgia USA. I do appreciate you putting "y'all" in there. It made my translations software do loops. Good to see you are literal perfection in all your exploits, cooking included! Bravo! The rest of us strive to reach that state of level of mastery.
