  1. That's wicked!!!!!! Did you guys know the Mustang was named Cougar up until 3 months before production. And NO the Mustang was NEVER named after the plane. How do I know this, well I have personally talked to Iacocca, Gale Halderman and Joe Oreos back in the day and all three confirmed the only mention of the plane was an ad executive that wanted to use the plane in ads. Gee, instead they used the horses. Early concept......
  2. I think I was 10 (1974) when I built my first kit. The ones I remember the most were a 66 Mustang coupe, 69 Camaro coupe, 70's style custom van (maybe a Dodge) and a Freightliner flat nose. I also remember later building the USS Constitution with it's many many tiny little 3 piece canons. My Pop had some old linen so I made roll up sails that looked much better than the open plastic ones. I gave up modeling in the early 80's then got back to it on my 30th B-Day (1994) when my sister got me the 94 Mustang coupe kit for X-Mas. Almost set up here in my new house to get back to building, need to get some new paints and decide what kit to build first. For sure gonna be a Mustang.
  3. Love that color! Seats are rock'n!
  4. Mine had to air out for 3 days to get rid of that nasty chemical smell. But it's been great so far and now my back no longer hurts when I get up in the morning.
  5. RIP you funny man. Just found this movie on VHS. Not bad, kinda funny........ https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Hostage_for_a_Day
  6. I bought that movie on Blu-ray. It includes a very informative making of doc, check it out.....
  7. I left that forum back in 2020 when it had a couple of anti-vax morons on it spewing their BS. I assume they are gone now and it's only about die-cast and no politics? I wonder if my login will still work?
  8. Sweet dragster, sweet built!
  9. 71 Super Beetle. Auto stick. LOVED that car so much! With my 2nd car, 68 Mustang.
  10. I was on FB for about 2 months a long time ago. Hated it. No idea how my nephew can work for them. Oh wait, he gets paid big bucks, gets free breakfast and lunch, free well equipped gym with showers to use and can get his laundry done for free as well.
  11. Gatemac Arch ...........huh?
  12. "The Cat" looks tasty.
  13. Loved my $20 set of 4 wire caps from Target on my 81 Pony (photo taken 1983).
  14. Love those "Jelly Bean" mags....... But I also love the "Turbines" on my 88.......
  15. Not obscure but a neat find.......... BST 2nd LP found at a thrift shop.....not only is the send away for posters cut out still there on the inner sleeve but it had the original receipt from 1969! The LP played fine.
  16. Super sweet!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Love me some 4-eye. 😎 So sad I had to sell my 85 coupe. At least I still have my 88 5.0 vert.
  17. That was the only size kits I saw. Other than that lots of 1/43 scale die-cast. There is a 1/24th kit but it's a 1930.
  18. Looked at eBay and Entex made a 1/16th scale sedan and Coupe Roadster. Kinda pricey but that size would something else.
  19. True....but.....they do it for a short time in a straight line. F1 can go into a turn from 205mph to 60mph and back to 185mph and do it lap after lap on a track 3.6 miles long in 1 min 25 seconds. I look forward to the film and if I do not like it I'll just keep rewatching Grand Prix even though a different era.
  20. Don't know anything about him but dang......drunk drivers are just evil. I'll have to check out his videos. RIP.
  21. Watched The Doors again last night. Man he WAS Jim in that movie. Apparently he listened to nothing but Doors songs for months before the shoot and memorized them all and when off camera he asked the crew to call him Jim.
