A movie helped me get back to building model kits. I quit building models as a kid after I bought my first real car. Then, after watching the 1990 movie "Mr Destiny" with James Belushi I wanted to build kits again because in a few scenes in that movie Belushi was shown working on a kit, had a built one at work and he got one from his buddy for X-Mas. I remember mentioning it to my sister and she got me a kit for my 30th B-Day in 1994. Building again ever since.

I myself have the opinion that a built model kit is not "art". Yes, there is a "art" to building the kit but to me it's not "art" in the same sense as a painting, sculpture, etc..... To me somebody else's built kit is worth nothing because I did not build it. But then my built kits to me are worth nothing in a money sense, just the joy and satisfaction of building the kit.

Who says all Mustang II's are ugly
webestang replied to rusty85's topic in General Automotive Talk (Trucks and Cars)
Right.....I remember the Ford dealer had one here in late 78, I thought it was such a cool design. I bought a 81 coupe in early 1984. It was a left over demo model with 5000 miles on it. -

The II was Lee's baby......he left to go to Chrysler before the Fox Pony. Lee was quoted as saying "Looks more like a fat pig than a Mustang" about the 67 Mustang, which led to the bigger 71-73's. The Mustang II was a hugh hit selling over 300xxx the first year with no V8 for the US (until 1975). -

I've been a photographer and worked in photo labs since 1985. Currently I work for a company called Schiller's Camera. My title here is Photographic Restoration Artist. I also run a black-n-white darkroom out of my house. Yes people (including me) still shoot film. My office or desk is in the lab. Here is an example of my work...... -
