    I have been looking for Revell's 1963 Impala SS. The prices on ebay are outrageous. Yesterday I went to the Goodguys show in Pleasanton, CA and bought one off a vendor for $35 that was selling diecasts and model car kits. It was a little bit more than what I usually pay for a kit but way cheaper than ebay. The kits on ebay were going for $50 to $100.

    I usually mask the clear parts with clear Scotch tape and cut really slowly with a razor saw.

    I install the kit lower radiator hose if possible. I used to replace it with Detail Master radiator hose which was nearly an impossible task so I just use the kit hose if supplied. I use Testors tube glue every once in a while. In some situations it works better than the Tamiya cement I usually use.

    Glad they are bringing back the '32 Ford sedan and '64 Impala SS. I hope they bring back the '57 Bel Air convertible.

    Cool that you still have it. Neat story. I still have a Monogram 1956 Chevy Bel Air that I built when I was 9 or 10 years old. I was going to take it apart and restore it but I will leave it alone. It is a snap shot of my modeling skills at 9 years old. Instead I will build another Monogram 1956 Bel Air kit for comparison.
