  1. Btw since we have been debating this Shaker color topic. I did see on one of the forums that there was at least one B3 Ice Blue Shaker 70 Cuda that was seen in the early 80's and the Shaker was painted Ice Blue. The car was a low miles survivor.
  2. Tim I am going to assume the blue color that the Shaker was offered in was B5?
  3. Keith Mark's decals. He has the correct decals with a nice rear panel decal. I think Missing Link has nice rear taillight lenses.
  4. Back in 2000 I had a FE5 Red AAR Cuda and it did not have rocker moldings. I drove it to an event from Northern Indiana to Augusta Ga back in 2000 or 2001. It was a 4speed and a pretty nice car. It was a fun but a hot drive. I came home and pulled the car in front of my house and the clutch gave out. Great timing! Beautiful car and quite frankly a nice handling car around the southern roads. I sold it later that year. I thought the rockers were an option but I stand corrected. This has been a great post and I have enjoyed reading the notes on the build of the Cuda on Tim's sight. Tim when will the magazine be released with your article? Thanks again
  5. Tim thanks for your input as I haven't received my Kit yet. I hope I will get it this week. I was looking at a Reliable Resin front grill bumper assembly I bought a few years back. It has a separate grill insert that you would paint black and it does have a raised section for the stripe/moulding down the center of each side. Since I don't have the Revell kit yet I have been using the body etc to test items like doing the side molding on the side etc. I never built the resin conversion that I bought from them. Looking at that front grill assembly this afternoon and using an Evergreen strip that comes as .25mm x .5mm it looks like that would be about the right size for the red stripe. I may try adding that on both sides. I don't know if it will work or not.
  6. I cannot tell in Tim's picture but on a Cuda grill there should be a red molding down the center of each grill side. I not sure if Revell added it to the grill centers or not. The body of the car and Tim's build looks right to me. I love it.
  7. I cannot wait to buld it. Thanks Tim
  8. You could always take the 440 out of the Revell Charger kit and do a twin scoop 440. Keith Mark's has decals for a 440 car I believe.

    440 Roadrunner

    Nice job.
  10. Thanks Tim it is pretty rare. I don't believe many people have seen one.
  11. Nice 74. I remember reading a 1974 Duster 360 test report and the car performed better than the 72-73 340's for sure. Here is a photo of my 1975 Roadrunner. The picture was taken a few weeks ago. It is a survivor with 37000 miles on it. It isn't the prettiest Roadrunner but it is a great driving car. It is a 360.
  12. Tim it the Cuda is looking good. Btw that 74 360 would be real rare.
  13. I am not sureon the stripe and molding. I figured at first an Evergreen strip for the side molding and either painting it black or using black chrome Bare Metal foil. I used the black chrome foil on a 68 Impala SS 427 a few years ago and it came out really nice. I tried a 1/64" vinyl black tape I bought from Detail Master the other night on a Reliable Resin 70 Cuda body that I never got around to finishing and it looks really good. That would be an easier way to go than the Evergreen strip. I am not sure how to do a molding and stripe though. I think the stripe would have to be very thin, much thinner than the 1/64" I used the other night. For a true correct look you would need stripes on the top and bottom of the molding. Back in 2005 or so I had a chance to buy a Sandpebble Beige 340 Cuda 4speed survivor with 30K miles on it. It had the factory tan leather with a side molding. I passed on the car (It was like 25K! what was I thinking?) and I have heard the car was resto modded and painted black. I so regret not buying that car and how the car ended up
  14. Here is the car I am going to replicate. I always loved the Side Moldings.
  15. Possibly Testors metalizer Magnesium for the grill or shaker. I am painting my Cuda B5 Blue Fire Metallic. I think most B5 cars had silver Shakers.
  16. Thanks for the input on the silver. I have a can of mopar silver correct for the wheels and I think the rockers. I am thinking a darker silver on the grill and the shaker. Testors metalizer paints?
  17. So I am wondering if one is painting the grill and the Shaker in silver. Has anyone seen a correct Shaker car (in person) and is the Shaker (Astrotone silver) lighter than the grill? I know the rocker gill moldings are a lighter silver but I am wondering about the Shaker vs the Grill for correct tones. Thanks
  18. I think the AMT F60x15 RWL tires would look real good on the Cuda.
  19. Thanks Tim for the photos. Thanks Casey for the photo of the decal sheet.
  20. I am excited to get mine. I should get it this week. Can someone post a photo of the decal sheet? Thanks
  21. Great looking build. I love a 993 bodied car. I have a 911SC and it is a great car. The 993's are getting out of reach to buy.
