  1. I have built a few SMTS kits and you are right they can be a tad crude. You did a really nice job with the Colt.
  2. beautiful builds
  3. Oh man that is rough!
  4. I build for most of the reasons you guys have mentioned like I can't have all the cars in 1:1 because of money and I love seeing the kit coming together. It certainly gets my mind off of business pressures. I think it is interesting that I started building kits 50+ years ago as a kid and loved building them. I think I really started when I was like 10-12 years old. Probably the same with most of you. I have a couple grandsons who are really into cars and motorcycles but show absolutely no interest in building models. I kind of blame screen games on this but they are pretty good about not spending as much time as some teens on phones etc. I have tried to get them interested but they are not. Kinda sad.
  5. Great job.
  6. Love seeing this coming together. Great build. I actually saw a 53 or 54 Saturday heading to a car show. It was dark brown with modern wheels etc but what a nice looking body.
  7. Jim I attached a picture of my dad back in 53 when he bought his new. I believe he worked for Studebaker at that time. Love watching this build.
  8. Nice, clean build
  9. Love to see this progress. I love the 65 Ford XL500
  10. Model car Roundup still shows them!
  11. Looking good.
  12. Beautiful build Randy. Those are kits that my grandsons will be trying to find on Ebay when they are adults.
  13. I really like the narrow body Cobra. Nice job.
  14. Good job Michelle. I was wondering this week why we hadn't seen a kit from you in awhile.
  15. Actually now that you pointed it out my 62 year old eyes see the cartoon on the white stripe!
  16. I can't really tell but are the Roadrunner decals that go on the longitude stripes there? If I remember right my early models the ones with the incorrect dash and incorrect chassis did not have Roadrunner decals. I know the tin box had them. I just cannot tell from the pictures

  21. Randy I thank you for the tips. I do believe I need to buy a fresher set for my next build. Here is the finished car that I also posted Under Glass.

  23. Thanks everyone. I kind of needed to get my model car building juices flowing again and this did the trick.
