While rearranging my display case, last evening, I picked up the Corvair altered that I built a few years back...... and that got me thinking about this build, so I came here to take another look. While my Corvair was inspired by the same old picture, my end product wound up as something much more radical (altered wheelbase, blown fuel hemi, fogged and faded metal flake). Now I'm feeling the itch to search out an early Corvair and build another, following your's as a guideline. Thanks a lot, Eric.... You're a bad influence!!! 😜😜😜😜🤣

Here's one that I built in the early 2000's. A slammed F-150 crew cab, built by marrying a Revell snap Explorer with the Revell Harley Davidson flare side F-150. It was a total curbside build, with a simple flat Evergreen sheet floorpan. Unfortunately it's no longer in my collection, as it was among the models that I sold during our move from house to apartment. One more pic with another of my old pickups... A curbside Pro Street style 94 Dodge , that I built when that kit first came out.

Looking for the canvas top from any previous issue of Monogram's 1932 Ford roadster. Turns out that it is missing from the current Classic Cruiser issue. Prefer unused, but a decent used piece might suffice.

So freaking cool!!! I actually started a similar project many years ago, but, as is typical for me, something shiny distracted me (squirrel!) and the model got pushed aside and forgotten. So glad that you saw this one through.

Not 100% sure, but I think that is a build up of the ancient ITC (Ideal Toys) MG TC kit. Dad had one, when I was a very young kid, that he turned into a drag racer using parts from the 1/8 Lindberg Dragster kit.

I'm not so sure about that. AMT was not sold to Lensey until 1978. I have a 1975 AMT catalog that has the 1/43 truck kits listed and pictured. Pretty sure those were tooled up in the Troy Michigan facility.

Testors Model Master Jade Grenade 1/25 scale multimedia kit motorcycle kit Cool looking V-twin custom motorcycle. Multimedia kit, with resin, photo etch and white metal parts. Picked this up at a club meeting about 10 years ago. Appears to be complete with all the tiny bits. Capri resin and vacuform plastic kit Don't know much about this one. Possibly German made? Resin body, wheels, bumpers, grille, front seats, dash, steering wheel. Soft black resin tires. Vacuformed interior tub chassis plate and windows. Metal exhaust tips. This one has no instructions, but I'm quite confident that it's complete. (Edit: appears to possibly be missing two wheel backs) Looking to trade for Revell 50 Oldsmobile custom, Revell Foose Cadillac, Revell 49 Mercury wagon or coupe.

The extra effort to make the kit roof look factory really paid off... Your color choices make for a subtle yet stunning presentation. VERY well done.👍
