  1. Thanks. I am a big fan of shooting brakes and in truth all wagons. Whenever I come across a fun looking wagon I add it to the stash. When I saw this resin part for the corvette I had to have it.
  2. Badger Stynylrez I built a kit that came with a vinyl figure. I used it on that and it worked fine. Per Badger “ For use on plastics (styrene, vinyl, resin), metals, woods, and various other substrates “
  3. That looks fantastic. Great job. I love the ships from Space 1999. I agree with you, the show never did it for me but I loved to see pictures of the ships.
  4. That looks like a really fun build. Great job on it.
  5. Very nicely done. Turned out wonderful.
  6. Looks great. I love those old Audis
  7. Looks great, turned out really well.
  8. Great job. Love the paint. I have built this kit and I keep it on the back of the shelf so that it is easily overlooked.
  9. I am looking for some decals for a C7 Corvette. I bought two kits that had pre-finished bodies. I plan on repainting them but I am losing the logos and Corvette script since they have already been applied. Does anyone know of a source for C7 Corvette decals? Thanks for any advice.
  10. More progress. The C4 is stalled to due a mishap with the hood and trying to decide how best to handle some missing parts. So the Aerowagon got the majority of my attention this weekend.
  11. Thanks for the advice.
  12. I am a big fan of these. This one has been on my to do list for a while and a few weeks ago I got in a Corvette mood. So I started two corvettes, C4 and C7. I should be finishing up the C4 this weekend and while waiting on various drying times I have started to play with the C7. The mistake I made before even starting this was buying the wrong kit. I got a good deal on this kit and then realized after I bought it(two actually) that it has a pre-finished body. I will have to remove the pre installed glass and will scuff the very shiny body. But the real down side is the emblems and script have already been applied and I have no decals to replace them once the body is painted.
  13. Thanks everyone. I think this one really encouraged me to try other things outside my comfort zone. It was a lot of fun and he looks cute sitting on the shelf.
  14. Oops. After the post I realized I forgot a few parts(the two chrome circles). I could not get Robby to sit for a photo shoot again so here is quick picture of him with the final pieces.
  15. Thanks. The last picture with the lights on is actually a video. You can see the lights flashing in that one. I don’t want you to be mislead about the details. I have attached a few pictures to show you the factory detail, the PE kit and then what I did.
  16. Here is Robby from Forbidden Planet. This was something completely new for me and it was a lot of fun. I added a PE detail kit for it and also added lighting. IMG_1400.mov
  17. Robby has left the building. He is done and I am putting up some photos in the under glass.
  18. Just a little bit more to finish the weekend.
  19. Progress! Robby received his final paint today. Decided to light another part so more drilling and fiber optics mounted to PCB. One final decision to be made before I can assembly. I need to decide if I want to add a blue led behind the grill. No problem adding a solid led but a flashing one may not be possible. That is the source of the debate.
