  1. That is an awesome paint job
  2. That is looking great. Going to be a very cool model when complete.
  3. That Chris Craft is gorgeous. Is that a Miss Circus in the lower picture. When I had my RC armada one of my favorites was the Dumas 3.5 Hotshot. That was a really fun boat. I had several other boats but they were all electric. This is my last update for a long while. I just realized we are half way through November. Every year I make a model for a friend of mine for Christmas and I have to start that now to ensure I get it done in time. I typically start it in October to make sure I finish on time but I got distracted by my boat. Thankfully it is a simple kit this year.
  4. Very nice. Looks great!
  5. Looks like a fun build.
  6. Nice job, it looks great.
  7. That gold paint is gorgeous.
  8. Greta looking build. I remember wanting the real thing when it came. I was afraid I would kill shelf on it. I bought a Shadow 1100 instead.
  9. Thanks for the encouragement. Glad that my poor life choices are inspiring you. I had to do some rework on the epoxy work. I have also been inspired to make another bad decision. I purchased another Dumas boat, this time a Chris Craft kit.
  10. Progress has slowed but I did get a little done today.
  11. Looks like plenty more filler is going to be needed. There is a lot of space between the precut decking and the cowl.
  12. Very cool, I love it! Great job.
  13. Great color choice
  14. Beautiful, looks great.
  15. Thanks! Sanding, sanding and more sanding has been my life the last to days. After sanding down all the putty I put on a coat of primer. Then I filled the grain with a diluted wood putty mixture. I put the primer down first because I used a water based filler and did not want the bare wood to absorb all the water. After more sanding and a little touch up I put down a light coat of primer to see how everything looked. I think it is in a good enough condition to move on to the next step. I could not resist trying out the canopy.
  16. Progress is slow but happening. I used a lot of filler to cover my poor skills. Just a tiny bit more sanding and it will be ready for primer. My plan is to get the lower hull finished and primed before doing the decking. I know there will be a lot more epoxy and filler clean up but it just seems like a good idea to get the lower done first.
  17. Great job. I built one of these a few years ago it is a fun little kit.
  18. Very cool kit, great job on it.
  19. Looks great!
