Wow! What an amazing project. All those working features too. Better gift than the cheap aftershave I always get from the in-laws! Thanks for sharing.

Thanks Tom. Ooh yeah. That particular fit issue I swear had the floor under my desk ankle deep in plastic shavings and sanding dust!?

Beautiful cars Allan. And you're right: life for way too many good people is tragically short. -

Wow! Some inspiring metalwork there Mike. -
VERY nice AWB Ken!

Thanks Robert. This one tested me but I try not to be too critical of manufacturers because let's face it without them I wouldn't have anything to build! I've found Round 2 to be consistently pretty good with the quality of re-issues of older kits which is why approx 80% of my kit stash are Round 2 products. To me those AMT Trophy Series kits are an absolute joy to behold. Unfortunately they seemed to have dropped the ball on this one for some reason. If there's an upside it sure sharpened my building skills and reminded me of how spoiled we generally are these days!

Beautiful Galaxie Chris! -
Excellent job on this Bart. Interior trim looks great!

Forty years in the making and a gorgeous build Alan.

This kit is a glaring example as to why I don't put paint anywhere near a model until I've checked as much as possible the parts fit. I think I can count on one hand on this one where when two parts needed to be joined they did so without a major fight. Trimming, cutting, sanding. I'm sure the build took twice as long as it should have. If I wasn't such a softie for mid 60s Pontiacs I probably would have put it unfinished back in it's box to maybe try again later. Anyway, rant over and at least I ended up with a pretty good model that I'm generally happy with.

Nice job on something unusual Chris. -
Nicely captured Michael! Love it.

Nice work Dana. Did this one myself not long back. The roof took a bit of fiddling to fit but not too bad in the end. I'm guessing your build is probably of a similar kit issue vintage as mine. Apparently the new Round 2 re-issue still has the separate roof but not the convertible boot which sort of defeats the whole purpose.

May not have turned out a stress buster for you Tim but it's a pretty cool model for the rest of us to look at and enjoy! -
Wonderful build Scott. Full justice to the original! Would get to the scene before every other fire truck but wouldn't be able to do much about actually putting out the fire!
